Medved not only will need to figure out a way to recruit talented players that fit his system but also keep them around for 3 years.

Minnesota isn’t the type of school with the NIL budget to turnover 6 or more guys on the roster every year.

I'm not sure that less roster turnover = less NIL. Everyone's getting paid regardless of how they're acquired.

It seems you wanted an instant fix of a car that had been entirely dismantled and left for dead on a rural dirt road. That is never going to happen at Minnesota. You can keep complaining, but understand you sound like an old man yelling at clouds.

You are delusional. The University of Minnesota can not afford a “splash hire”. The football team, which is every athletic programs cash cow, is 16th of 18 in Big Ten in revenue. The teams NIL collective has as much cash as a carwash located on University and Snelling. I hope you remain on these boards in 20 years so I can hear you bad mouth the next 5 head coaches over that span. What we need is a large cash injection- and unless the athletic department starts buying lotto tickets, I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Doesn’t mean less NIL but they need to figure out a way to keep the majority of the talent together for longer. Less roster turnover for a school like Minnesota gives you a chance.

The football program has done a decent enough job of that. The basketball program needs to figure it out.

There was no realistic hire that would have checked your boxes. Lots of us thought Ben was a disaster when he was hired, but most still gave him until at least late in year 2 before giving up.

Trying to victory lap multiple times in the 7 games is just being a troll. Niko has a proven resume, which Ben did not. No one claims he's "exciting" but he would have gotten a power 5 job somewhere else if not here. He might not work out. No one knows that yet, not even you.
