The Gophers vs the Dons in South Dakota. Just how James Naismith imagined. But awkward game/location combo aside, the Gophers need to find some semblance of team that's ready to compete in the Big Ten. The last 5 halves have not been it. But the Dons and other low and mid major D1 teams see this as a huge opportunity for a season defining win over a BT school.

We need to find our shooting and depth. It needs to start in South Dakota.

This just in: Bill Russell, KC Jones, and Bill Cartwright will not be suiting up and running the parquet floor for the Dons Saturday night. And legendary coach Pete Newell will certainly not be drawing up plays.

Gophers recover from their recent terrible play and pick up a closely contested 5 point win

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Gophers don't play the Dons until Saturday (tomorrow) at 4:30pm. This seems a bit early for a game thread. Stan, you seem to be itching to go.

You're correct on both fronts. The game is tomorrow and I'm itching for a confident, full 40 minutes of high major D1 basketball and win.

Honestly, our boys just need to get out of their own heads and trust the years of shooting. If they just have fun and play, they will win going away. They are getting great looks at the basket. Those shots are going to start dropping so just keep shooting!

Really excited for this game. It's a huge test of the early Niko era....neutral site game against a decent (but beatable opponent). Hopefully we can bounce back and chalk up a win.

Still having nightmares about Jonathan Mogbo just beasting us at the Warriors area a couple years ago in our first matchup
 





ESPN has the Gophers with a 53.8% chance of winning. Hope they're right. Let's get it done!
 










What is the status of BJ Omot???? Reminds me of Tyler Cochrane from last year. No updates and he never plays a minute.
 





How was Turner dropping 20+ per game late last season? Dude has zero feel.
