All Things 2025-26 Minnesota Wild Season Thread

Looks like the Wild went with backup goalie Wallstedt last night for the first game of the back to back while the VGK went with backup (but now pseudo #1) goalie Akira Schmid; Wild will start the Bus Gus today against the VGK's young goalie prospect, Carl Lindbom who is still looking for his first NHL win.

Vegas still looks less than impressive this season since losing Captain Mark Stone, William Karlsson and starting goalie Adin Hill.

Betting line has it close to a toss-up, with a SLIGHT lean towards VGK (for some unknown reason?); I'm not betting it but it's hard to go against the home team on a back-to-back, especially in an early start. Wild win, 4-2

I'm no VGK defender but he was found not guilty in a court of law, plain and simple. It sounds like if he was guilty of anything it's putting himself in a situation where something worse could have happened, but if we're going to crucify everyone who did that as a teenager then we're all in trouble.

Carter Hart is going to make his debut tonight for the Henderson Silver Knights. Still plenty of upset VGK fans about this, hoping there's not a lot of protesting or worse yet, anyone doing anything on the dumb side. I'm going to go to the game, we'll see how it goes. Hart hasn't played a game in like 2 years, I would expect him to be rusty.

HSK isn't the most hockey educated fanbase, maybe hardly anybody knows he's playing tonight or plans to do anything?

Kaprizov has looked absolutely unimpressive for most of the year.
But he still silently piles up points
