Gopher uniforms @ Oregon

I hate surrender whites...skip the uniform dramatics... and go on the road with a traditional uniform and win (or be respectably close) with solid fundamental football.

Am I asking too much?
Define traditional. If you say maroon, white, gold then you are 100% wrong when you look at gopher uniform history. For some reason Mason is the cutoff for what they call 'traditional'

Am I the only one who checks these threads only to make sure our guys aren't wearing something ridiculous and embarrassing?

My dream for Gopher Football is that we get to a point where what we do on the field generates more excitement than the weekly unvieling of "what we'll be wearing this week."

That said, both teams wearing white helmets?

Lanning must be scared so he's trying to confuse Drake.....

Every single fan base in the country, regardless of success, has a weekly uniform chat amongst the fan base.

I know this is hard to believe for some of you but this isn't some weird MN phenomenon.

Yeah, I get that. This isn't "old man yells at the sky" kind of post.

I'm pretty sure the conversation at the schools in playoff contention, the "what are we going to wear" isn't the most exciting topic on the board.

If you think it's the most exciting that's on you. I doubt most people do.

You should see twitter about the Ducks uniforms. They take this shit seriously.

It's not the most exciting thing for me.

I think its a ridiculous waste of time and resources to come up with a new "fit" every week.

The whole idea of the aternate uniforms is to sell more merch. We don't even do that well. You can't even buy our regular helmet in the fan Mini Helmetts (I have three of them from years past) let alone the alternate Goldy Helmets that are the ones people seem to like the most. The only one available is a white helmet with maroon M on it.

So, I'll hope we can develop into a football team that can show up and play for 60 minutes regularly and have conversations about what we need to do to win, not what we're wearing.

The uniforms are free from Nike. And it probably takes 5 minutes to decide the combos. I guess helmet decals maybe occupy some interns time for a few hours.

I could do without the white helmets on the road. I like the MWM or the GWG much better. As someone always says…if the kids like it it’s fine by me.

I am always a big fan of the MWM as well, but it may be because it was the uniforms the Gophers were wearing the last time we brought home the Little Brown Jug. I think they look sharp though.
