Appears the 2 guys I mentioned are on visits now. They are verbals still to UCONN and VT. The 3 Hutchinson CC players all have visited and left.

Kollock could be good, but we take QB's in every class, wouldn't be shocked if Lansu doesn't end up signing with us based on our strong interest elsewhere. Or the possibility Shikenjanski wants to start somewhere and transfers out, and/or Wittke transfers out which would leave us with only 2 or 3 QB's on the roster.

Wouldn't shock me if Kollack transferred out. Tough to keep a kid happy on the bench for two or three years, plus by then whenever the Lindsay era ends will probably bring a Brosmer type in to compete with whoever is here internally. Of course that all hinges on paying Drake in the off season. Also can't imagine the kid who threw the pick vs NW State that came here from VA Tech is around next year either

Kollock will be your QB 2 next year, one play away from starting. I hope he sticks around, highly recruited out of Laguna Beach and a top 20 QB in the nation coming out of high school. Would have been at Washington if DeBoer didn’t go to Alabama. He’s a little more mobile than Drake too

I agree he's a nice prospect but my concern is does he want that or is he going to see the writing on the wall want to be qb1 somewhere else? Seems like most kids choose the latter in that spot

Drake has been up and down which you would expect from a freshman. Next spring as of right, now those two will be competing for the starting job. It'll be interesting

I very much doubt that. They'll "compete" I'm sure there is zero chance Drake will be qb2 as long he is healthy and at Minnesota

He enrolled early I'm sure he thought I'm a true freshman he's a redshirt I can come in and compete and then reality set in. Again, I hope he stays and waits his turn but that's just not the expectation anymore, probably why they are trying to flip another QB for 26. You don't take two QBs in a class without expecting some departures

There is always competition. Kollock or someone else would have to look like a significant upgrade at the position to knock Drake from the starters spot. But if that were to happen, they absolutely would get the starting job because the coaches are going to play the guy they feel gives them the best chance to win games.

I doubt we will take 2 QBs. If we get a better commit, Lansu will decommit.

Agree. Drake has shown flashes, but in no way should he had the starting job locked down next year.
