Not a great slate of Big Ten Matchups this weekend.

Oregon at Iowa is clearly the best. Will be interesting to see how Iowa does against Oregon, maybe the Hawkeyes will soften them up a little for us.

Hopefully Washington can extend Wisconsin's scoreless streak at home (back to back home shutouts for the Badgers).

Nebraska has gotten to bowl eligibility but can they avoid going in the tank down the stretch with out Raiola?

We are in the part of the season where I pull for whatever team's win means a better bowl game for the Gophers. That, and I'd like to see the maximum number of B1G teams in the playoff (which also helps Gopher bowl selection) to offset the annual fawning over the SEC. If you've read more than four of my posts here, you will have a pretty good idea I dislike the SEC, a lot.

Observation.

Iowa is un-ranked and Oregon is #6.

On the surface this is a game where the ranking indicates an easy weekend for Oregon.

But every fan seems to know this is a big game and lots of folks are interested in it in spite of the rankings.

The brother of Michael Brown-Stephen’s, Anthony, having a nice game for Tulane vs Memphis

Iowa is currently ranked — #20.

Is northwestern actually good?
For some reason, Northwestern consistenty performs above their level of raw athlectism. It's the opposite for USC. As we saw last night, once USC put the car in drive, they pretty much blew Northwestern off the field.

What I worry about in our game against Northwestern is that Komolafe will run all over us. I thiink Stone and the passing game can be held in check. The Northwestern defense is also decent.

I just found out that the USC back-up QB switched jerseys with the USC punter when they ran the fake punt that resulted in a first down. If there isn't a rule about that, there certainly should be one. Seems like really unsportsmanlike conduct.

He was listed as that number on the roster prior to the week, not that he switch during the game.

Is Indiana starting to travel well? I am curious how red happy valley will be today. They are not that far away.

Thanks. Clears that up. I guess the Northwestern coaching staff didn't meet the undergraduates stringent entrance requirements.

They are not good. They are above average on defense, below average on offense.
They don’t beat themselves.

It game gets into 20s they really struggle if game is below 25 they have a chance vs anyone.

When opponent scores 20+ they are 1-4 and are losing by a margin of 2 scores
Then the game is played below 20 they are 4-0

I am worried about being able to score. I am not worried about them running all over us.
They have scored 23+ twice this year. Against western Illinois and Louisiana Monroe.

They certainly could beat the gophers 21-14 or something. they aren’t beating the gophers 35-28

Psu looking like gophers defense. Make a play give up a bigger play......

Indiana looks out of sorts today. Big long time out and the first play returning from that is a mixed up false start? Haven’t seen this kind of play out of Indiana since they were Indiana.

I read that they switched it just before the game that was legal. In my estimation, it is poor sportsmanship as 50PoundHead indicated.

Indiana playing like they expect to convert fourth downs rather than hoping to

Gophers off week, means I’m of course paying attention to the big show down of Drake vs St Thomas. Tied 10-10 just after half.
