Give us your thoughts and predictions!

Here’s my take:

- Running game: DT not reliable so I’m not even going to rely on him, Famé is the best with what we got left, but lacks speed, Davis is basically a filler for Famé to take a breather, that said, our running game is not great

- Passing game: really just Geerer and Brokington are constant producers, Jalen and Tracy contributes here and there, no deep threat, Drake loves his check downs and WR screens, Drake’s tight rope - frozen rope passes seemed to have thawed since game three. That said, our passing attack is also flawed

- Our D is the only side of the team that is keeping us in games

Tha last 4 games, we looked atrocious and repulsive.

Nonetheless, here is my BOLD prediction

Oregon - it’s all hype, they’re not that great like OSU or Indiana (W)

Northwestern - it’s all luck, they’ll be beat up by USC and Michigan by the time we get to them (W)

Wisconsin - it’s last game of the year, Axe is on the line, plus 90% of their players had checked out already (W)

9-3! 😎

We've been horrible on the road. And I don't know why I think we beat Northwestern at Wrigley but I do. How are they on the road?

And we win the Axe (🤞🤞🤞).

2-1 (I'd rather not think about what Oregon will do to us in Autzen)

If DT comes back 2-1
If he doesn’t 1-1-1
and I have no idea

If we beat Oregon I will believe in alternate realities
Speaking of alternate realities, I will watch Howard the Duck again if we beat THOSE Ducks...

I have only one brain to sacrifice for my Gophers...

I checked Rotten Tomatoes and it has a 13-38 score...far higher than I imagined for both. Truly an awful movie.

I too will embark on this hellride if we win!!

Seriously folks, the Oregon game has all of the trappings of the USC game last year. I fully expect Oregon to bring a playoff hopeful performance but I will not be surprised if we play like dawgs much like the USC game last year. Yes, I'm aware we're woefully inept on the road, I just don't consider the Nebraska game to be our "game we shouldn't have been competitive in let alone win" game.

Strangely enough I predict the gophers to lose to Oregon 13-38 and beat Wisconsin 38-13

He sure didn't look like he lacked speed in that long run against MSU!

Smith looks like he could be a deep threat but maybe won't get there this season.

- Our D is the only side of the team that is keeping us in games

Agreed.

Did you forget about the Nebraska game? Nothing atrocious or repulsive about that one.

All right, Oregon isn't OSU or Indiana but they're certainly good enough to beat the Gophers convincingly enough at their place.

Northwestern has a good defense but they don't have a good enough offense to pull far ahead in a game with the Gophers. If the game were held next weekend, I suspect they would be favored over us at home.

Starred Minnesota's own Lea Thompson though!

Oregon plays Iowa next week (our bye week). We’ll see what the current Oregon offense is made up of against an Iowa defense that we can only dream of bringing. And can Iowa score on Oregon? I think it might be a close game.

I don’t expect the Gophets to beat Oregon—no one does. This year’s team has real talent in some places, but too many talent gaps—and the talent we have hasn’t gelled. Moreover, this year’s Gophers are an exceptionally poor road team. Why? Who knows. My wish for the Oregon game: COMPETE from the first snap to the end. No pussy footing.

My wish for the coaches: Don’t construct a simplistic offensive game plan that is obvious, a predictable replay of our tendencies by now painfully clear on film. Make Oregon think. Do the unexpected, Confuse them. Slow their reaction time by one second. Out think them. And if you get a drive going, use quick pace. Don’t let them rest between snaps and substitute freely. You might get a few match ups you like. Go Gophers.

This place has got to be a psychologists dream, complete turnaround in 2 minutes or game time.

I don’t think Oregon is that great, but after Iowa beats them, they will be ready, Northwestern is solid, if not a lot like Minnesota, probably not sure how they got where they did, but there they are.
Wisconsin has better personnel than their record, important to punch them in the mouth early, game over. That all espoused, I gotta go with 1-2 with Wisconsin a win. NW a 50/50. Oregon 20/80.

Oregon game is winnable if and only if we play like we did against Nebraska. I think they’re a little bit overrated so if we can come out the gate well maybe that can be a game. Regardless, we’ll probably lose. NW is a pseudo road game but also a neutral site game in some sense, and we’re probably around the same level. Truth be told I haven’t watched them play much this season though so I treat it as a 50/50 game. They’ll likely be on a losing streak when we play them though so take of that what you will. And then Wisconsin has just totally given up for the season so I think we will win the Axe handily and go undefeated at home. So that’s 8 wins most of the time one way or another.

2-1 is very doable....if we play well.

Oregon - we will have to play great and they will probably need to make some mistakes for us to spring the upset. - L

Northwestern - Haven't seen much of them but get the sense they are very similar to us. Whichever team plays cleaner most likely wins this game. - W

Wisconsin - Would be very disappointing to lose to the Badgers at home this season. Who knows what kind of mental state they will be in at that point. As rough as their season has been they still have to play Washington, Indiana and Illinois before they get to us. - W

Lose to Oregon. Oregon is pretty good.
Beat Northwestern in a close game. Northwestern is not terrible.
Beat Wisconsin in a dominant way.

8-4 which I believe is a good season with a freshman QB and a good amount of young
players. I think next year's schedule is even tougher so hopefully our returning experience for
2026 will put us in a great position to compete against Michigan, Washington, Iowa, Penn State and Indiana.

We do have Michigan and Iowa at home which is still tough but on the road at Penn State, Washington and Indiana is going to be very challenging.

In the meantime, we need to finish strong and position ourselves for a decent bowl game.
Go Gophers!

So you are saying we should just save money on airfare and hotel and not even bother showing up then?
No, I like my Gopher football and won't miss watching the game. I've been to all home games and the OSU game. Nothing I've seen this year leads me to think we have a chance in Eugene. The Nebraska game was nice, but let's remember it was Nebraska.

Just messing with you. Obviously we are a long shot against Oregon but crazy things happen.

7-5. I'm hoping for 8-4, but the Gophs are O-fer on the road, playing like total dogshit away from home. I hope I'm wrong.

Focus on football during the bye week as opposed to how to address the Pacific time zone and our slim chance of a win in Eugene goes up.

Do not spent any energy of beating the bye week and do not celebrate it if it happens.

Focus on the basics for all three games. If history teaches anything, we beat Wisconsin and Northwestern ugly, and get stomped by Oregon.

If, and I know it's just for fun, but if you could pick 1 game to win in the last 3 and only 1, which game would you pick ?

It's northwestern but it is a game at Wrigley Field. That would be a memory forever.

It's wisconsin and we hate them but what if...

It's Oregon and we could say we beat them BUT that means we lose back to back to NW and wisconsin at home.

You get 1 win...which game do you want the win from the most ???

I have bad feeling about the Axe game.
lol....why? I mean we can't take any game for granted but what could possibly scare you right now about the 2025 version of the Wisconsin Badgers?

I mean I guess they only gave up 21 to Oregon in a friggin downpour. And granted, they have played a brutal schedule but the last time they managed to score over 10 points in a game was in mid September.

If there was ever a year where Gopher fans should feel confident about a game against the Badgers it should be this year. But I guess feeling confident about anything terrifies a lot of Gopher fans so I maybe you should have a bad feeling about the game. :)

Beating Oregon in Eugene would be cool but if I could only pick one with guaranteed loses in the other two I think the win has to be against Wisconsin.

4 wins in the last 5 years against Wisconsin would be pretty sweet.

If you could pick one game to win it’s Wisconsin

Beat Oregon and then lose to northwestern and Wisconsin and this board would be insufferable all offseason

Yeah the answer is always Wisconsin. Who cares about a game at Wrigley against NW? Oregon would be fun but losing back to back after it would be a killer. (especially to a terrible BADger team)

If we can only get a 7th win...let it be Wisconsin and let them realize they still have Fickell coming back for another season!

Yeah the usual suspects would downplay the Oregon win so badly...it would be terrible.

The only way the Wisconsin game is not the answer is if we had not played Iowa yet.
