Kennesaw State moved to 4-0 in CUSA beating UTEP

Jacksonville State comes back to beat Middle Tennessee State in an above average humidity game also in the CUSA

Missouri State moves to 3-1 in CUSA while Jacob Clark becomes the all time TD passes leader for The Bears.

And an interesting tidbit to keep in mind for the Florida Georgia game, kicking off the same time as The Golden Gophers:

Syracuse QB Joseph Filardi is a true freshman that is on a lacrosse scholarship, so he's considered a walk on for the football team

Arch Manning is trash

He is 2-5 but only 1 of those throws was across the line of scrimmage

Trash probably isn't the right word but he certainly isn't living up to they hype that comes with the last name.

If he had a different last name he would be seen as a solid college QB but given the expectations for him he has been a disappointment.

Big hold for Vandy, going down 14 on the road in Texas would have been a killer.

Penn State, 0-4 in B1G play, is hanging with Ohio State at the half, down only 17-14. Probably get torched in the second half, but are making it a game. They are competing. The Gophs were down 21-3 at the half against Ohio State and clear weren’t able to make it a game. More an ordeal to get through than a competition. There is a huge mental/emotional aspect to football, especially college football, that is so hard to understand, impossible to properly analyze. Do players play tentatively and sometimes fail to give full effort (not quitting, but tending that way)? Does this happen when players realize that their game plan and coach prep has been insufficient for the task? Fans at best can do uniformed speculation.

Of course, I am happy to offer my uniformed speculation! My pet peeve: I don’t mind seeing the Gophers lose games they probably should lose; I hate seeing them fail to mount a semblance of a contest in games they probably should lose anyway. The Ohio State game was bad in this respect, but Iowa was a thousand times worse. Let’s please not lay an egg against MSU … and then let’s go to Oregon and COMPETE from the get go.

Penn State only down 3 at half. Would be hilarious if this is the year they finally topple Ohio State.

Love Rutgers getting smashed. I still have nightmares about the AK year and I also think that if PJ had different mentors than Schiano and Tressel he’d be a much better game plan and day coach.

Kaliakmanis must have a contract that says he plays every game and can’t be pulled, either that or the back up QB’s at Rutgers are the worst in the country.

For whatever reason, I think Maryland is going to put a good scare into Indiana if not upset them. Its a perfect trap game and Maryland has the talent to win at home. IU -21.5 is crazy. We'll see.

If that's not targeting against Dinkins, they might as well get rid of the rule.
