I think Mason certainly deserves respect for what he did with the program and the Big Ten was good then, but I don't think you can say the conference is that watered down now. The conference has won the last two national championships, James Franklin, despite being fired, had Penn State as a strong program, Iowa has been consistent, Illinois has been brought to a good place by Bielema, and now Indiana is a contender.

Our three wins this year against Rutgers, Nebraska, and Purdue three teams that Mason would’ve scored 50+ against. It’s very much watered down.
