Not a great slate in the Big Ten this weekend. Guessing we see an end to the UCLA winning streak. Northwestern vs. Nebraska could be interesting just to see how the Huskers respond and to get another look at Northwestern before we play them in a few weeks.

Illinois at Washington could be a good game. Illinois is ranked but Washington is favored.

Wisconsin almost certainly gets blown out....only question is if they will end their scoreless streak or if they will get shutout for a 3rd week in a row.

(5-2) Cal +6.5 at (2-5) Va. Tech.
I feel like there's a lot of 5-2 teams this season that really could be legit very good.

Also complete ass.

And there are lots of teams would... could be both.

This year seems a little weirder around 5-2 records.

Huge games for standings with a bunch of 3-1 and 2-2 teams playing.
MN/IA winner to 4-1 (Both have Oregon in next 2 games)
Loser of Illinois/WA to 2-3.
NU and NE big swing game in standings
Rutgers at Purdue with to 0-4 teams.

Next week is a snooze fest with USC at Nebraska as the only quality game.

Didn't really look at it from the standings end.

Next week has a game that should have been great on paper PSU/OSU but obviously one of those teams hasn't quite lived up to they preseason hype this year :)

1-6 Charlotte trying to upset the CFP playoff hopes of 6-1 North Texas on ESPN2 17-7 early in the 2nd

Horrible roughing the passer call on 3rd down in the red zone gave Cal a new set of downs and a TD on the next play. Extra point to tie the game.

Gotta move on.....Drake's first road game, late start, no DT......frustrating as hell because it was a winnable game but we didn't get it done.
The most frustrating part was that a lot of it was self inflicted with some inexplicable decision making

Watching Georgia Tech and Syracuse here shortly on the ESPN. Once they beat Clemson, the biggest challenge remaining on their schedule is the last game against Georgia. Still have to win each and every Saturday or course and today is no different against the Orange (who by the way we actually have some history with and just don't like 'em myself).

I've maintained contact with the main GT board since our meeting back in 2018. They have gone through a similar path as us with Brewster, Kill, and Claeys before getting to Fleck after long-term HC Paul Johnson retired. This year for them is our equivalent of 2019 with Coach Fleck under current HC Brent Key.

Always liked their team, how can you not with the Rambling Wreck moniker.

I'm having a hard time deciding to pull for Northwestern or Nebraska. The gut says Northwestern.
