I went to the Music City Bowl when we beat #25 Arkansas in 2002. A good time if you get the chance. Nashivlle isn't the same city today (alot bigger) but still a good time.

I wouldn't book the trip just yet. Not sure we'll avoid Detroit this year.

Odds are pretty good for it. Since 1999 there have only been two MAC opponents and that was in the 5-7 seasons. The rest have all been AQ/P5/P4.

more depressing than playing a VaTech team that was basically a Frosh/Soph squad that had no business being in a bowl? Hopefully with the portal shift to January, we'll avoid some of this, but I doubt it.

The Bowls aren't what they used to be.

The Rose, Orange, Sugar, Cotton, and Fiesta bowls still matter. Some of the lesser bowls that have long history - Citrus, Gator, Peach, Sun, and Holiday are all decent and well run. I remain curious to see how many of the others last in this new era.

8-4 is Music City. Every one else likely in that range of W-L will have already played there too much.
