Video: P.J. Fleck is BEST Minnesota Gophers coach in 75 years!

The new stadium… please, everyone was/is getting new stadiums, it doesn’t create the recruiting explosion that people keep throwing out there. Brew recruited well because he was a good recruiter, Kill wasn’t so he didn’t, they both had the benefit of a new stadium.
I’m not sure what you’re griping about. Mason was excited about doing well in the new stadium and would have.

That's sad when you look at what Curt Cignetti has done at Indiana in less than 2 years. Im starting to think that most Minnesota Gopher football fans have accepted mediocracy as the peak.
Remember this is the same fanbase that would rather beat Iowa/Wisconsin than play in the CFP.

Like I said most fans have accepted mediocracy as the peak, thats very sad.
We don't have the NIL that Indiana has though either. It's not realistic to expect similar results without the money. NIL money has gotten better the past few years but it's still probably bottom half of the Big Ten.

Well if Indiana and Curt Cignetti can elevate their program as quickly as they have why can't Minnesota? I have a hard time believing Indiana has more wealthy boosters than Minnesota does, if anything we should have the same amount if not more. Plus I don't think its all on NIL sure its playing a role but I honestly believe Cignetti is a better coach. I can respect the stability that PJ has brought to the program but one has to question can he take the program to the next level. Maybe the problem lies with Coyle, maybe he cant get wealthy Minnesota boosters on board?

I love how kids these days want to rely solely on statistics. It's evident that they have never taken a real statistics class nor read the book How To Lie With Statistics. They're simply wannabe accountants who believe cooking the books is acceptable.

NIL played a big part of it. Their QB reportedly got over $2 million. Mark Cuban is an alum.

Cignetti may be a better coach than Fleck. But there's probably very few coaches that are better than Cignetti.
