Week 4 Other Games Thread

It makes no sense

Their recruiting classes the last 4 years have been average to below average.

I don't get it.
Transfer portal has been a huge part of it for them. They have hit a lot of HR in the portal. Will be interesting to see if Illinois was over rated or if Indiana really is this good.

They have games with Oregon and Penn State coming up where they will get the chance to prove that this was no fluke tonight.

If this Indiana team shows up next week Iowa is screwed.

Is IU's victory over the Ilini going to be the largest margin of loss for a Top 10 ranked FBS team ever?

It might be but this is almost certainly a case where Illinois was not really a top 10 team. And that isn't to take anything away from Indiana, Illinois may well be a top 25 team still but highly doubt they are a top 10 team after what they showed tonight.

To be fair Illinois is thin and has lost a bunch of guys, but it’s pretty apparent they’re not a top ten team

Can they put up 70 ? #DoItIndiana
If they get the ball back they probably will because Illinois has nothing left on defense....and as I am typing this they pick off a pass.....so looks like 70 is very much on the table. :)

Problem now for Illinois is even 10-2 may not be good enough pending how OSU goes
Yeah, Illinois has a really soft schedule outside of a game with USC next week and then Ohio State 2 weeks after that so they could still finish with a really good record but this will definitely hurt them if they do finish with a good record.

Felt like we had 7 winnable conference games on our schedule coming into today.....still feel the same now.
Yeah. The Gophs don't play Maryland or Indiana. Nebraska is the only team on the schedule who played today that maybe showed a little bit. Oregon rolled, but we already knew they would be trouble.

Some people have a knack for finding underrated talent. How many low rated guys did he bring with him last year, and they seem to have reloaded nicely on both sides of the ball.

Rooting for the underdog. Cignetti has a little bit of a pompous *ick factor but he gets results
