Loyola 9-19-25 and Marquette 9-21-25

So I turned on the Loyola match in time to hear the announcers say Julia Hanson was in the starting line up then taken out of the line up, Gophers took set one

Please tell me it was a coaches decision and NOT INJURY RELATED. They clearly didn't need her.

My daughter said Hanson was crying after warmups fwiw

I think it was a coaches decision as she looked fine on the sidelines. Chance for the freshmen to gain valuable experience. Only player not to play was Ng.

Great win over a good Marquette team. The sets were tight and the Gophers didn't falter and they closed out the sets. I find this team very interesting and exciting to follow because they are overcoming adversity, improving, and their potential is still being written. I hope their potential isn't stymied by more injuries. Go Gophers.

I take a lot of positives from this match. The Gophers struggled early yet kept grinding and found a way to pull out the firat set. Sets 2 and 3 never felt like they were seriously in doubt. On the court Kinney keeps showing growth as does Taylor. Alex Acevedo is blossoming into a star right before our eyes. She's carrying herself with so much confidence right now. The team is 10-1 and Julia Hansen hasn't even come close to hitting her stride yet. The ceiling for this team might be higher than we thought.
