Very interesting game. Both offenses were unstoppable in the first half. What did both defenses do? Bring more heat in the second half. Seems pretty obvious. Will it work? Hard to say, AK did hit a bomb to their best receiver. That guy could be a problem for us. At least they are challenging the offenses to do something different to beat them. If they do, you can always go back to doing what wasn't working before. I would have liked to see us challenge California's receivers to beat us more. Maybe we don't trust our DBs?

Both QBs falling back to earth in the second half.

How many Rutgers players have gotten hurt in this game? Seems like a lot. That could be good for us.
 

Gronowski has had two BAD misses tonight, one for a sure 1st down and just now for a sure TD

Seems like something most young play callers do is not want to get drilled for home run balls. It’s why the really aggressive guys get very big jobs if they’re good as the ones who don’t do it well have defenses that look like shit. Would like to see PJ give more leash but it’s part of how he’s always wanted our defense (same as our offense). Boring and predictable but execute well and count on them to to make mistakes
 

Athan having a good night. 21/30 for 289 so far. Strong is the real deal and going to have our hands full with both
 

AK just missed a big one. All he had to do was lead the WR away from the DB there. Throw it to the goal post and it's a tuddy

Iowa always get's away with arriving and hitting early, and mugging guy's with their defensive backs. They get away with obvious PI a lot and I'm not sure why.
 

Who would have predicted an offensive explosion between Rutgers and Iowa. AK looks like a different quarterback he is passing with confidence. Rutgers is going to be much tougher than I originally thought next week.
