All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

They were surprisingly unimpressive. Or perhaps GB is really good. 😐

There were quite a few "experts" that predicted the Packers would win the North and make the Superbowl.
Sadly it feels like bold, but still way early yet

From winning his first NFL game on Monday to being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday to becoming a new Dad on Friday.

That's quite a week for JJM. Good luck with the diapers and finding enough time to sleep, young man.
Not at all trying to say anything ... but when you're a starting NFL QB ... it won't be the usual newborn experience.

He'll sleep. And they'll have nanny's to help. Is what it is. All good!

I didn't see many (any?) comments in the thread ... but the absence of Darrisaw cannot be understated.

Skule ... I mean good lord .... he stunk the place up. At a minimum in the first half. Felt like nearly every stalled drive at least the first three or four was somehow directly because of him on 3rd downs.

I saw that in early August, and I took JJ McCarthy for Comeback POY at 9-to-1 (+900) odds on August 8th. I also took Trevor Lawrence at +500. What the heck, I thought it was worth a shot
I don’t disagree with your bet, but to me the idea of JJ winning the comeback award is odd because he’s not really ā€œcoming backā€ to anything seeing as how he never played an NFL game pre-injury.

Trust me, I didn't seek out JJM on that bet, I just saw it there and sprinkled some pizza money on it just for the heck of it. Probably because I'm still miffed about getting burned last year on Sam Darnold not being "eligible" for the award, as they changed the rules after I put a few bucks on Sam. Bullshit!!
I've got the Bears taking out the Lions tomorrow.

Who is with me?

I'm torn on this one, as I have bets on both teams finishing Under season win totals. Honestly a tie would be the best possible outcome for me!! Screw both teams though, I feel confident that neither are making the playoffs. I'm not sure I heard this right but I thought I heard the other day that Detroit didn't just lose their OC and DC, they actually lost SEVEN coaches from last years staff? That's a pretty damn big blow, along with their losses on the O-Line.
