I assume at some point if you decide you're going to do an unboxing video like this ... you're going to do some homework / validation of whatever you're going to say.

Maybe he does know the U well, I just wouldn't take this video as sure evidence of that.

If this video doesn't convince you of his Gopher knowledge, Tyler Rubin and Jordan Howland would beg to differ

Gruden is a mad man, and he's great. Why did the NFL intentionally screw this guy over?

No. The NFL selectively leaked emails during an unrelated investigation into the Commanders. He was targeted.

The other emails have not been made public.
I don't really care what should or should not be public or if the NFL wronged him.

He made his own choice in those emails.

Wow, he really put a lot of respect on the Gophers, and showed an insane level of knowledge! Hard not to like Gruden.

Oh wow, I had no idea the backstory on Gruden - but hey, people fuck up and we need to let them atone and move forward.

Why did they do that to Gruden?

Won’t be the first or last time something like that happens. He pissed somebody off, maybe multiple people, and we can see why. He’s a little “rough around the edges”. He was stupid to write those things on an employer email service. Fair to argue whether he’s any more bigoted, misogynistic than the average boomer (in my experience). We have to remember he didn’t say those things publicly, after all. Most people of all stripes have said or written things that are less than kind or inclusive.

Is it outside the realm of possibility - after the NFL lawsuit circles out he ends up somewhere like…Alabama? Assuming their coach doesn’t reverse their implosion soon. In today’s climate I wouldn’t be surprised.

He called a gay guy gay, called Goodell a p*ssy, and said an ugly guy was ugly in private emails. I can't think of anything worse. He's like super mean.
I mean, it was a little more than that. I don't know if it warrants a controversy. But I'd say his remarks were a bit more inflammatory than you're suggesting.

Super empathetic and honest take. We need more of this common sense in our knee jerk society.

Yeah, he talked like guys talk in private conversations.

I never argued it wasn't inflammatory. People have really strong reactions to a ton of nonsense.
Calling someone ugly is inflammatory.
Calling someone a pussy is inflammatory.
Calling a gay person queer should not be inflammatory, but you know, of course it was going to be.

I am arguing that it doesn't deserve any controversy whatsoever. There wouldn't be an NFL if that standard was applied to everyone. There wouldn't be most good things (NBA, MLB, music, movies, etc.).
