A week early, but I dug this up recently. I originally found this at a thrift shop in Ames, Iowa many years ago. These images are not the entire program. I'll bump the thread next Monday.

The team featured Paul Giel, Geno Cappelletti, Roger French, among others. Burnham (Rocky) Elton was my mom's HS boyfriend at Fergus Falls. She was also friends with the Foss's and Kuehnel's.

Is anyone from this team still alive?

28 yr old sophomore from Honolulu, must be an interesting story there
He would have been 18 in 1941, so he would have likely missed normal college. Anyone living in Hawaii between 1941 and 1944 was effectively "stuck" there due to martial law and travel restrictions following the attack on Pearl Harbor. After the surprise attack by Japan on December 7, 1941, the islands were placed under military control for nearly three years, until October 24, 1944.

I can't imagine it would've been very easy for someone with his name and likeness to make their way to the states back then as well. I wonder if he had Japanese heritage and if he and his family were placed in an internment camp for a period of time following the beginning of our involvement in the war.
