All Things 2025 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

Not going to start a new thread for this.

What’s with the sex toys being thrown out on the WNBA courts?
supposedly, per the people arrested, it is part of a memecoin prank that is on social media. Some are linking it to a new memecoin called "DILDO" and its meant to generate publicity/buzz.

Joy of memecoins is they can skyrocket with attention, investors can dump them at profit, and then they move on as there's no harm if you're not the one holding the bag.

There are also rumors that maybe it is more just misogyny toward WNBA players and their demands for more money, etc.

There are also rumors that it is part of a viral stunt generated culture and that is just the latest derivation of do some stupid shit and get it on social media for "clout"

Regardless, its dumb but now its getting talked about and unless the punishment ends up being severe enough, people will keep doing stupid shit like this

Added now to ESPN this am

I'd rather spend the day with your family. Realize I'm driving blind here, but I'll take my chances.
We drink a little. I run bingo for prizes. We then go around the table and tell what's new in our lives.

It's riveting stuff. Obviously, the food is great so come on over.

Looks like Bones Hyland will be the 3rd PG. What a disappointing off season.
yeah the team hinges on at least one of Dilly, TJ, or Clark making massive strides coupled with Ant taking the next step as a dominant player. joy of having minimal money once they decided they wanted julius and naz both back

Yeah, it's sort of a disappointing offseason but I'm not sure if there were better options. We knew NAW was going to leave. I'd have preferred another true PG but that's not how Connelly or Finch see the guard position.

On the plus side, I think we got an absolute steal in resigning Naz Reid for 5-$125. We either have Naz locked up for a long time on a decent contract or that contract means Naz remains an asset. That isn't always the easiest things with non-super stars. I do believe the end of our bench got better with the young French kid and Juzang.

Outside of signing Brogdon or a better backup PG, I'm really not sure how else we could have improved the team very much. We'll also see on Brogdon, if TSJ is really good, there probably wouldn't be minutes for another true PG and Dilly.

The Wolves my stick with the current roster but they didn't trade KAT until the end of September last year. So I wouldn't completely write off more moves being made.

So what's the feeling this year for Wolves ceiling in the western conference? OKC, Houston, then the Wolves?

Clearly behind OKC and then it’s a messy pile after that with Houston Denver MN, LA, and then I’d put GS and LAC a little lower. But the 2-7 is going to be a mess and depend on health

OKC, Houston, Denver, MN, LAL, LAC plus SA all have so much talent that the final standings will be dictated by injuries. GS is toast.

Forgot about SA for whatever reason. Have a hard time writing off GS if they’re healthy. Curry and Butler are still great players. They’re definitely the most frail of the teams though. The clippers are another of those old man rosters though and I dunno how well they all fit together anymore with a whole lot of minus defenders at their old age

Curry is still a great player. Jimmy talks the talk. Dray is whatever. They have totally mismanaged Kuminga, including this off season. He dominated the wolves one on one offensively in the playoffs and they haven't helped him develop other parts of his game. He hates them and they hate him. Both sides need a divorce. LA stole Luka. If they trade LeBron for Kuminga that would be another massive steal. (LeBron and Curry supposedly want to play together.)
