The time has come... move the band

I think the field being maroon with gold stripes would be cool, but (at least in this mockup) the turf surrounding the field being gold is kinda meh.
Meh is an understatement...that looks hideous.

I really don't think moving the band is going to change anything with the sound. They have microphones to amplify the pregame and halftime sound and there are microphones in the band section.

Our student section is awesome and love the way it looks on TV and at the games.

Yes to the bar/party deck on the second level. Never adding a third deck in that location. There is about 20,000 sq/ft of buildable foot print space there. 6,000 sq/ft on north side

I do think it would change the sound. But that is just part of it. Sinking the band down into an undersized pit just looks bad too. I would love to see them featured like other D1 power conference bands. If flat out moving them isn't an option, what is the price tag to growing the existing pit to the correct size, or just fill in the existing pit to even everything out and keep the band in the same spot? Anything but the current half baked situation.

oh, and I love the party deck idea, as long as specific tickets are sold to hang out there. Otherwise it would just draw people from their seats and make the stadium look more empty.

The current band location and sound quality is fine. No changes please.

I would like to see the temp Vikings bleachers back in open end- at least for a couple potential sell out games; WI and NE this year

Hard disagree

That open end is wonderful for esthetically from camera shots. and great to still be able to see the action if you happen to walk thru it during the game.

Also, we rarely/barely sell out as it is, so decent chance those seats go to visitors (cringing at thinking of the old metro dome days) or sit empty. Someone is usually giving daily updates on remaining tickets up to the day of the game. When sellouts occur, we're barely getting to them.

1. I love the party deck ideas. The "problem" you are going to face is that it would be premium/club areas and we already have an outdoor & indoor club that (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) has trouble selling out. Meaning we'd be putting in more premium areas when our existing premium areas don't have enough demand. However, Target Field has 8-9 bars/restaurants in addition to their club seating.

2. Having temporary bleachers in the open end is a bad idea. Agree with pharmacygopher on all points.
