Team stumbles out of the gate against a historically awful team, but designated kissass Trevor Plouffe is right there to give Rocco a pat on the back for giving the ball to Paddack.
 

2nd time this season the Rockies won game 1 of a home series.
Good thing they're going to use that Securian money to improve the team.

This is why the Twins need to be in sell mode at the deadline. We play a bad baseball team and lose the opener.
 


Does the GM have any input at all on personnel decisions? Every comment about the deadline I've seen quotes Falvey. It's like they named that Zoll guy GM, then he vanished into thin air.

Falvey failed his way into a promotion. He's in charge of everything. Hopefully the new owners can him the day the season ends if they're in place by then.
 

Buxton has been having a fantastic season. Thought it would be interesting to see how his season stands in Twins history. There is no perfect stat, but thought using OPS+ would be a fair way to go.

The 2 best pitchers the Twins have had the last 3 weeks have been Ryan and SWR. Does either get the ball the 1st 2 games of the road trip - no. So, Ryan won't face the Dodgers and we risk losing a series to the worst team in baseball.🤔🤷‍♂️
 



The Twins would have a solid catcher if they could combine Jeffers and Vazquez. Jeffers is just horrible in the field. That decision to pick up the swinging bunt just before it went foul was insane.

I'm right back to believing they need to clean house at the top. Hopefully the new owners agree.
 


When things go bad, at least as a fan you can cling to the hope that an organization will clean house and start over. But Twins fans can't even hope for that because this regime is untouchable for some reason.

The thing OPS+ doesn't account for is stolen bases. Factoring that in pushes Buxton quite a bit further up the list of top seasons by a Twins player.

There were a few yesterday but most starters who pitched in the all star game are starting today. I don't think any of them for any team started on Friday.

Anyone see how good Alcala has been in Boston. The fact the twins have him away for Joey Wentz is a fireable offense. You need to FIX Alcala. That’s what you’re being paid to do is fix him.
