Falvey failed his way into a promotion. He's in charge of everything. Hopefully the new owners can him the day the season ends if they're in place by then.Does the GM have any input at all on personnel decisions? Every comment about the deadline I've seen quotes Falvey. It's like they named that Zoll guy GM, then he vanished into thin air.
Buxton has been having a fantastic season. Thought it would be interesting to see how his season stands in Twins history. There is no perfect stat, but thought using OPS+ would be a fair way to go.

Interesting that only 5 names on this list since 1988.
First 28 yrs of Twins history (1961-1988), 24 out of 28.
Next 37 yrs of Twins history, (1989-2025), 5 out of 28. (Nelson Cruz - 2, Joe Mauer - 2, Byron Buxton - 1).
The best thing about the All-Star break is getting to reset the rotation and run your ace out there....Chris Paddock.

Steve Lombardozzi ill-advisedly showed up at Dan "Wrench" Gladden's house on this morning in 1988.
“They settled it like men,” Kelly said. “My understanding is that everything’s hunky dory.”
I have not heard the Dan Gladden Lombardozi story. Can anyone catch me up?
