All Things Class of 2026 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread (Offers, Videos, Tweets, Rankings and More)

Benjamin has offers from Oklahoma State, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, NC State, Nebraska, Purdue, Texas A&M, Utah, Washington, Washington State, Boise State

McMorris has Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Northwestern, Stanford, Texas Tech, Washington State, wisconsin, Oregon State

It is really nice to see the competing offer list.

I remember when our commitments always had competing offers from MAC schools…

Hopefully in the future, we can see the top schools listed more often in the offer list, i.e. Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, etc….

We're never going to have a full class of that caliber recruit. This is where I think PJ and staff have done finding guys before they blow up and seeing that potential. But they've brought it some of those offers the past few years

2024

Kio obviously (Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, etc)
Roy (Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, etc)
Other guys like Sunram, Carroll, Rainer, Hicks, Madu had nice SEC and B1G offers (ex Penn State)

2025

Karmo (Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State)
Parrish (Penn State, Tennessee)
Again others like Handy, Harden, Tarawallie with quality offers

This year

Hopkins (Tennessee, Auburn, etc)
Dunn (Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Miami)
Moore (Penn State)
Plus the others in this thread.

It may not be reflective in recruiting rankings but PJ has really elevated the floor of the program and has incrementally increased the ceiling too.

Minnesota Commitment ‘Lined Up Perfectly’ For South Fayette’s Anthony Charles

“On my official visit, Coach [PJ] Fleck went over in detail what it meant to play for him and be a Gopher, and I felt like it lined up perfectly with my aspirations and development to the next level,” Charles told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

“Me and my family were treated as first priority and I felt it during our meetings. Being a person that believes family is the most important thing you can have, I felt that connection with Coach Fleck and the rest of the coaching staff consistently throughout the entire process,” he added.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound three-star talent selected Minnesota over upcoming official visits with Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin, along with other offers from West Virginia, Michigan State, Minnesota, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Miami (OH),Toledo, Akron, Sacramento State and Youngstown State.

Charles earned an offer from Minnesota back in January when former defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere III visited him in person.

“The conversation Coach Debo had with my family and I really hit home for me in a big way when he came to visit me in Pa.,” Charles said. “He also was saying how the staff as a whole liked my effort, violent hands, and explosive get off.”

Even though DeLattiboudere moved onto a job in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals, the new d-line coach, Dennis Dottin-Carter carried on the momentum with Charles.

“Coach Dott was all around consistent in coming down to visit me in Pa, speaking with my family in depth and consistently as well as our positional meetings. He’s really detailed and hands on,” Charles said.

Go Gophers!!

Saw on channel 5 that Edina’s Mason West will leave Edina after the football season to play juniors for jockey and end his football career.

Good reason why the source on a crystal ball really matters. Missouri beat writer says he is going to Missouri....gee.....wonder if he is biased at all :)

Interesting that according to 247 McGregory does not have an Iowa offer. Gotta assume that means he has made it clear he is getting the hell out of Iowa because there is no way they wouldn't offer if they thought they could get him.

Nowadays these beat writers have new metrics to care about. Maybe nobody has read his stuff for a while and he needed to generate a headline, etc.

The internet made it so that there are way more "sports writers/reporters" than there used to be, and message boards, at the same time, kinda replaced the need for most reporters anyways.

Hopefully soon the ad dollars will dry up for these clowns and they'll be forced to get real jobs. Athletes posting on social media, and fans re-posting on message boards is all that's needed - the middle man (sports reporters) can go pound sand.

They will get a visit from Safety Trason Richardson. A good Tight End Tyler Ruxer was set to visit and canceled. Hope PJ gets a few more players this weekend.

I don’t follow it much these days but they used to be able to change their crystal ball predictions and you’d see a bunch magically get it right very shortly before an announcement so they’d keep their correct percentage high.

I wouldn’t assume McGregory made it clear that he wouldn’t go to Iowa. They seem to do pretty well finding good safeties, and for whatever reason people on their message boards don’t seem to worked up about them not offering him. He did visit Iowa a bunch. I’ve seen some say he looks impressive physically, but his play on the field doesn’t stand out.

Must stand out enough for schools like Georgia and a ton of others to offer.
