Nice improvement this past season. Looks like good program in middle of the pack D2 conference.Experienced pitcher
Was just going to say the same thing. His WHIP in particular was terrific.Nice improvement this past season. Looks like good program in middle of the pack D2 conference.
Minnesota native, pitched 11.2 inning this year with a 23.14 ERA, no that's not a typo. Hoping he's coached up, he must have stuff if he's got interest from Mizzou and still Minnesota.

The last few years they have not been publishing this until July - more of an 'update' than 'here is where they are playing'. I am guessing the reason is the transfer portal.Has anybody seen a list of Gophers playing in summer leagues? I just looked through the news section on the Gopher’s website and didn’t see anything
Really improved his hitting this year. Lots of RBI and XBH. Fielding percentage looked a little iffy though and we definitely struggled with that. Went 4 for 8 against Gophers in 2 games. Good tryout to have
Commits to Notre Dame.Berkland in transfer portal.
That's a great pickup. Went from 10 appearances as a freshman to only 3 his year. Stat wise his resume is great. Was his decrease due to injury or new coaching staff? Either way, looks a lot like a Selvig type of transfer which we definitely need.

Are you saying they should have passed on Morton? Couldn't disagree more if that is what you are getting at. They had some solid adds in the portal last year Selvig looked pretty solid before trying to pitch through injury and ultimately having to be shut down but had barely thrown at Texas. Sperry was a reliable piece this season. Urban came along nicely late in the season as a freshman. Both Gregory and Kruzan threw a lot of innings this year and come in with experience.Mcdevitt needs some arms with some actual experience. They don’t develop kids well enough to get guys that have thrown less than 10 innings. The young returners better be ready to throw a lot next year.
We will see. Could use some more position players as wellAre you saying they should have passed on Morton? Couldn't disagree more if that is what you are getting at. Definitely need some position players, think there is only 11 total on the roster right now counting the incoming guys.We will see. Could use some more position players as well
Rooney and Leon also in portal. Is this summary of portal activity correct so far?
Leaving:
Drew Berkland, OF (Signed with Notre Dame)
Kyle Remington, RHP (Signed with Illinois)
Kris Hokenson, OF
Jack Mosh, INF
Arriving:
Isaac Morton, RHP (Texas A&M)...2 years left
Marcus Kruzman, RHP (St Thomas)...2 years left
Ben Gregory, RHP (Maryville, D2)...1 year left
Josh Kirchhoff, RHP (Iowa Central JUCO, Mizzou)...likely 1 year left but with JUCO, you never know
Davis Hamilton, INF (North Dakota State)...1 year left
So far it would seem we did a decent job at replacing Remington and getting some more experienced pitchers.
Hamilton brings a nice bat but doesn't quite replace Berkland.
If I'm missing anyone let me know. I don't use X that much so I rely on this board for most of the info.
Cook and Skroch as well, two guys who did not playRooney and Leon also in portal.
Looking at that list, can the U even compete against D3 talent? My how this program has fallen off.Is this summary of portal activity correct so far?

Those are pretty good numbers. Certainly seems like a good attempt to replace the loss of Berkland.
