Gophers 2025-26 non-con schedule news

Feeling less and less enthused about this home non conference slate.

Looks like another CBJ special, hopefully we can get at least 2 decent games
If they can get a game or 2 against a solid opponent to fill out the remaining spots this will be a far cry from any of the schedules we have seen the past few years.

Non-conf schedule is going to feature a lot of cupcakes, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as it also features a handful of good games. The bracketed games are likely to be solid, Missouri is good.....won't take much more to make this a very solid non-conf schedule.

Well I specifically said home non con slate.

The Palm Springs tourney looks promising. And hopefully the game @ Mizzou actually happens.

But asking for 1 good non conf home game isn't too much too ask. Both for our tourney prospects and the season ticket holders.

Not set in stone, but looking like Stanford, Santa Clara & Grand Canyon in the Acrisure Series. All should be decent teams, but not a likely NCAA qualifier in the bunch. Maybe GCU?

Disappointing.

Was hoping to be in same quartet as Ole Miss, but it appears Iowa gets to be with the Rebels instead.

I guess I don't understand what the purpose is of being D1 if no one even cares and even the students don't show up. Also how much did you pay for your ticket?

The price was $10 per ticket but their card reader was down so they just let in. Even at free I feel like I paid too much.

Go Gophers!!

Hoping the tournament gets us a couple tougher teams

Would like to see how the Gophers match up agaisnt Stanford.....

Don't disagree, hopefully they fill out these remaining spots with a few quality opponents. Does have to be great teams but at least schools most fans have heard of.

There seems to be a trend of P5 teams scheduling games at pseudo-neutral sites. For example, last year, Wake Forest played Michigan in Greensboro instead of at their home floor in Winston-Salem. MSU & Michigan seem to routinely schedule games in Detroit, Illinois in Chicago, etc. etc. I'm not sure why this is better than just going to the home floor, but it seems easier to get the opposing team to agree to play the game.

Don't be surprised if Niko lines up a home & home with Boise State. That would qualify as a good home & home. Broncos once again should be at or near the top of the Mountain West.

I would guess that's the only good non-con home game the Gophers might have this season.

Co-worker of mine was at the Dunkers breakfast today where Niko apparentely spoke. Niko said they are looking to add a neutral game in Sioux Falls at the Pentagon for the coming year. Sorry, if that's already been mentioned. I had not heard it before.
Sweet but they should still add one decent home game.

Sounding like the Gophers' Acrisure Series bracket will include Stanford, Santa Clara, and either Grand Canyon or Saint Louis.

Guessing it will be Saint Louis because the Billikens already are scheduled to play @ Iowa, so I doubt they'd be placed in the same bracket with the Hawkeyes.

Should be a couple Q2 opportunities, I'd think. SLU I think will be improved in year 2 of Schertz IMO.

Another year, another disappointing non-conference schedule. Can’t make this shit up. Minor league stuff.
