All things Players Coming and Going.

@ Pinball not necessarily apples to apples to compare winning % on a coach who's been head coach for 20 years compared to 4, so if we look at the first 4 years of each we have Bob at 81-60 and Barr at 69-58. Barr stepped into a much worse situation at Maine than Bob did at SCSU. I see Barr on an upward trajectory, and to me Bob has flattened and as far as recruiting goes I'd say he's taken a step back the last few cycles. This is why I think it's time to move on, and think Barr would be a great replacement.

GopherPete, you are entitled to your opinion and i respect it. IMO I will take a 20 year proven coach (Motzko) who's has won 65% of his games to a coach (Barr) who has only been a head coach for four years. Barr is a good coach now but it is unproven if he will continue to be a good coach, time will tell. As for Motzko flattening out, his team was 6th in the final Pairwise rankings this year. IMO, this is not flattening out. This years recruiting class may not have the star power but atleast give it a chance. Next years cycle is not over yet so we will see what happens there.

MSU flips a transfer flip to replace Jugnauth. They get the T4th highest scoring D in the portal this year.

Not an even swap but must be fun to have a very active recruiting staff
I think they had a little advantage on this as his brother is already at MSU. We weren’t getting that guy if you were hoping.

The 07’s and 08’s haven’t even played a game yet and the 04-06’s include multiple first round picks, NTDP players, WJC Players, flipping the USHL defenseman of the year, landing the top portal player on paper with Wood. Bringing in Ludtke who was one of the highest drafted players in the portal.

There is only one player current or future that would be worth stealing from MTU with the coaching change. He's already on his second team and the Gophers don't recruit Russians so would likely end up elsewhere like PSU or UConn.

Unlikely he is transferring anywhere. Buffalo holds his sights until this fall. He is waiting to become a free agent and then moving on

MSU lands another star... It's over for the Gophers. The donation/NIL base is too weak at the U. Depressing

Go be a fan of theirs then. I'm sure they would love to have such a great fan like you onboard.

The good news is about 3 years after bonin declared that the B1G killed the program we were inches away from a national title, so I all of a sudden feel pretty good about the future.

BU flips a drafted prospect from Harvard
Can’t say this tips the scales in any way, but wouldn’t surprise me if Montreal steered him there

He doesn't need to tip the scales.. They have stars at every position. And every small increase can net out to tip the scales for a title.

A 19 year old 6th rounder is going to be equivalent to an older guy. There’s not much of anything here
