Sporting News: Ex-Gophers QB Max Brosmer has ‘legitimate shot’ to make Vikings 53-man roster

I find that point about "legitimate shot" click bait. Literally every player who walks into the training facility has a 'legitimate shot.' That goes without saying as every player returning has to prove their worth, even under contract. Whether or not Brosmer is the real deal or not to make the club is nothing but speculative. I give him about a 1:84 shot at making it.
He definitely has a legitimate shot. They paid him $250K signing bonus to sign as an UDFA and teams don't do that unless they truly anticipate getting an ROI on that guaranteed money.

For example, BSF got a $245K guaranteed salary last year to sign with the Cowboys as an UDFA and made the roster.

There are at least 6 other players that got a guaranteed salary this year as USFA. Are you suggesting they all have a better than average shot at making the team? I just think it is fair compensation for coming to camp.

So confident, and yet, so wrong:

NFLPA vetoes quarterback rule change, emergency QB still must be on 53-man roster

"...an emergency third quarterback needs to be on the 53-man roster and cannot be a [practice squad] elevation."
I'll give you partial credit for being partially right. You cherry-picked your "rule".

The 3rd QB can be elevated from the PS the day of the game. Rules are:

Game Day Elevation:
A player can be elevated to the active roster on the day of the game.

Limited Elevatons:
Each player can only be elevated a maximum of three times during the regular season.

Reverting to Practice Squad:
After being elevated and playing in a game, a player automatically reverts back to the practice squad without needing to go through waivers.

Fourth Elevation:
If a team wants to make a player available for a fourth game, they must add them to the 53-man active roster.

On game days, NFL teams can increase their 53-man rosters to 55 players by elevating practice squad players. Only 48 of those 53 to 55 players can participate in a game, which means seven must be declared inactive approximately 90 minutes before kickoff.
