Wow: 4 star Recruit Trae Taylor just hit Illinois with an all time disrespectful pump fake (video)

Obviously raised well.

If you are Illinois, be happy. This is the type of guy in 4 years you are trying to find stats for him at S.C. State but he says he is declaring for the NFL draft.

I am sure his uncle Zebo who is probably his business agent told him this was a great idea. Granted Zebo’s last job was selling single cigarettes outside his apartment, but this is the college sports landscape today.

These fakeouts are always kinda dumb. Especially done against your in-state school.

I think the only time the fakeout stunt is fun is when you pretend you are going to Alabama but haha nah it's Minnesota and the crowd in Bemidji goes wild. Underdog and in-state has to win that act.

What he did, and the way he acts... seems like he's entitled. This is not gonna end well for Nebraska.

With how many players end up in the transfer portal, it's kinda dumb to piss off your in state school. You never know how things change in your life where coming back home might be the best thing for you.

Something bad happening to Bert Bielema vs something good happening to Nebraska....

lol...pretty accurately sums it up though I'm not sure if this is actually a good thing for Nebraska as this kid has "will end up at 4-5 different schools before it is all said and done".....written all over him.

These commitment fakeouts are always dumb but this one hit a whole new level of stupid. If I was a parent there is no way I would let my kid pull a stunt stupid stunt like this. Do the hat thing or whatever but don't intentionally sh!t on the home state school.....no need for that BS.

edit - appears that kid understands he screwed up and is owning up to it.

This off-putting moment could be the pinnacle of this prematurely-arrogant kid's life. Picking Nebraska shows questionable judgment. Simultaneously crapping on the home state school--which might be a CFP team this year--means that he is living in an alternate reality. Never burn the bridge back to the home state.

Solid response

Nice to see him own up to the mistake.

And on a side note.....good lord some people are pathetic. Reading the replies to the apology and the negativity from some people is just ridiculous. Kid made a mistake, in the grand scheme of things it was a very minor mistake....he apologized and owned up to it and there are morons on twitter acting like that isn't good enough and the kid should be crucified for his actions. Social media is such a cesspool and there are some truly pathetic people out there.

Sure, he is 16, but he still should have known better. Someone should have been coaching him in some aspect of this whole thing. I do question his overall character.

Based on his dad's tweet I get the feeling he caught them off guard with the stunt he pulled. Dad seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is making sure his son understands that actions have consequences which is all you can really ask.

Teenagers do stupid things.....if they do the stupid thing and learn from it that is good.....if they do the stupid thing and then keep doing more stupid things and not learning their lesson then that is bad.

So far it appears this kid realized he made a mistake and is owning up to it. That should be enough for people but clearly in reading the twitter responses to the apology that apparently isn't good enough for some who have no doubt never ever made a single mistake in their entire lives :)

Rick Rickert came into his commitment announcement wearing an Arizona bucket hat....we all ate it up at the time when he chose us haha

Karma comes to Nebraska; corn fungus takes a lot of victims each year. He will mature quickly.
