I do follow the thread on Volleytalk but I like this group better. Way too much petty bickering between the posters over there. I think a few of them get their jollies trolling. We disagree and argue on this site too but it's mostly well intentioned and substantive.

My takeaway from the spring.

We still don't have an opposite who can score consistently. Wucherer is still not well and may not be this fall. Jordan is better than we had a right to expect. We lost to the only quality team we played (without Hanson?) and it wasn't that close.

Season still hinges on how good Stella is. (And maybe if Kinney is ready to contribute.) Otherwise, we are, at best, still right where we were. Myers is probably a decent replacement for Oloweye and SS should be for MS. But where is the replacement for Grote?

Just a harsh assessment of the team talent. It has NOTHING to do with their character or value as human beings.

Also, so far at least, there are still way too many players on the roster who do not look like they will ever make a significant difference on the court.

Nothing harsh, or wrong, about your assessment Ruffda. In order to make a jump I think we need a healthy Wucherer and a jump from one of the other hitters. If Wookie doesn't get healthy we need two of the others to make a big jump.
