If it’s good enough for Reusse, it’s certainly good enough for The Hole.

No, plus ot minus options included, but I have included an I for incomplete, which is what I would vote if I was being super serious, but it’s more fun to break out the red marker!!!

I give him a solid B, because he’s building a team, whose sum will be greater than their parts. Improved passing, ball movement and FT shooting based on our new additions prior stats!! That alone is worth a B!!

It cool to watch the beginning and how things jell aud grow!!

Enough of my blabbering, lets hear your thoughts!!

I went C, based on the fact that there isn't anyone yet he's brought in yet that has made me do a double take in terms of the transfer portal. A lot of good pieces, which is what I expected, hence the C. This grade is fluid moving forward.

Are you asking us to grade a roster he's still working on? Why not wait until the roster is full in the next week or two?

Go Gophers!!

I answered that in my post thusly -

“If it’s good enough for Reusse, it’s certainly good enough for The Hole.”

I’m also bored waiting for the draft to commence!!

Participate or not is a decision only you can make for yourself!!

There is also an option for an Incomplete grade!!
Go Gophers!!

I gave him an A based on the following:

-He has got guys to come here with multiple years of eligibility with potential. (no guarantee they'd stay beyond a year but I digress)
-He has fundraised, which means people are actually excited about what he's doing
-He's already got a tougher schedule than Ben ever did.
-He's got guys that have been difference-makers and who are hard working. A plethora of skills, passing, shooting, defending and athleticism. He knows what kind of players would fit his system.
-Even though he missed out on Christian Wiggins, the fact that he's reaching out and trying to keep the in state kids home is a sight for sore eyes. Whether he lands any, i think that it's only a matter of time.

I’m excited, and I wish him well and hope the team can finish above .500 in the conference. But I see a lot of grade inflation. A “C” is meant to be average. What has he accomplished that any average coach would not have?

All good points! A much more comprehensive set of criteria than I would have contemplated. Well done!

Assuming the exact same set of grading standards can be applied across all groups is folly. The students at Minnesota Math and Science Academy will not be graded the same way as a students in a class for those with learning disabilities and Minnesota basketball fans will not grade their coaches the same way Duke and Kentucky fans will grade theirs.

I had to go with B. Do I think we have signed some crazy talent that makes us immediate contenders… no but I don’t think Nikos scraping the bottom of the barrel either. I almost felt like I had to give him an A+ just on the fact that he out-raised last years NIL budget in just three weeks… I don’t care what state the program was in, it’s still impressive to me

Solid B due to portal pick ups thus far, which seem like high ROI players. NIL going well, and despite not having a completed roster MN has no glaring deficiencies. Sign a CG like McGlaughlin and we’ll be ready to compete in Niko’s system. Positive about the future, looking forward to driving over for Palm Springs MTE.

I went A weighted for his NIL work. I think the roster at this point is a B. Optimism that the non conference schedule might be challenging is also in the A/B range.
It's too early but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The roster putting Minnesota's tradition into the equation can elevate to an A with just one addition better than the solid 10 guys we have on the roster presently.
I like what he's done (not matching the silly number North Carolina gave a just nice player/not great in Evans) or attempted to do (Groves) so far.

A for the reasons stated above.

I went with B for one he hasn’t coach a game yet two I think if he coached last year‘s team they could have either made the tournament or got very close. We had no discipline and no organization let’s just see what he does this year.
