KG wants to come back and help MN sports including the Gophers

We had him as a potential reason for recruits to come here and the only thing in the way was a greedy billionaire. Bout time Glen Taylor isn't owner anymore

Maybe he should purchase the Twins......... just saying.

Yes, I do hope the new Wolves owners repairs and bridges things with KG. If it was not for inept management, he could of had a ring with the Wolves. One simple move, tell Billups he can be the PG over Brandon. McHale chose to stick with the often injured Brandon. Billups went on to win a Championship elsewhere.

Hey, KG was the man in Minnesota Sports. He was just a very young man when he was drafted by the Wolves. He basically grew up here and sounds like he still has a warm spot in his heart for Minnesota. If he wants to come back and help Minnesota Sports, we should welcome him with open arms. He could open some eyes of college basketball and football recruits.

It's a nice thought, but I presume GM of the Gophers is a full-time job. Not sure that's how Garnett wants to spend his days.

It is difficult to see him stepping up to support college basketball when he has no association with us or any college team.
Hope I’m wrong.
He used to play pickup with the 97 squad at Williams arena. He was trying to help make em sharp.

97 final four article.

If you can’t read look the article, up on internet archive. Then it’ll be free.

What actually would be the rule on that?
Well, if he had gone to junior college for a year he could sue the NCAA for not having access to NIL. Unfortunately for KG, he went straight to the pros. Maybe he could hire Pavia's lawyer and look for a different loophole.

These guys are selling their names. Others will do the heavy lifting while they swoop in to seal the deal with starry eyed recruits.

That's what I'm thinking. Boost the recruiting and grease boosters for NIL. I doubt there will be any heavy duty running day to day operations.

KG once had a bad game and was going to skip out on fulfilling a Make-A-Wish promise to meet with a kid and sign and give him his shoes, until my buddy and Chris Wright went into the locker room and dragged him out after explaining why he needed to honor his commitment for about 15 minutes.

Don't expect KG to commit to anything. Lots of stories when you talk to people who work, or used to work for the Wolves.

College sports has become the place where professional athletes want to own, have power, and spend/gamble their money. They can't afford pro teams without a lot of friends and more money, so this is their playground.

Yeah KG is a tool who treated a lot of people like dirt...
