BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

If it was at assembly hall, we'd foul out and have to forfeit.
Niko would be smart enough to fan the players out so the sole Indiana player would not be able to throw the ball off a gopher to inbounds the ball!

Imagine the turnover total!

Oh my friend, what are you talking about, it could CERTAINLY be worse. It wasn't good, don't get me wrong, but it could be a lot, lot worse...
A lot worse than 22-57? No not really. He's the worst Gopher coach of all time for a reason. It really can't get worse. Certainly not "a lot" worse.

Salem 0.355, Wacker 0.291, Ben 0.441 overall records at MN.
Ben 0.279 in Big Ten. Wacker 0.200. Salem 0.278.

Wacker worse than Salem but Ben right in there with both.
In football the ratio of non- conference to conference games is lower. So the football team often faces a tougher schedule. As a Big Ten team in non- conference you ought to win 80% of your non-conference games when scheduling the cupcake home heavy schedule we do. So- overall is not apples to apples.

Which is why I also posted Big Ten records.

If he plays the 5, we are in serious trouble. He was listed at 6-8 185 at CAL. Even with a year off to put on weight I doubt he is much over 200.
Yeah, he'll never play 5. We will just (likely) run a lot of minutes with two Fs and without a true 5. He's about the same size as Parker Fox.

BJ was a volume scorer his 2 years at ND and his 4 games at Cal. Low 41% from 2, ugly low from 3-29%, but average from FT line 72%. With his length and athleticism, I would think he could do more on the defensive end then .9 blocks, .8 steals. 23-24 year he did average 16.7 and 4.2 rebounds on an 18-14 team.

Niko will have to get BJ to recognize good shots, get that 3pt % up, and commit better on the defensive end and as a rebounder.

Fox is 220 and there were times we needed a 240lb player. There is plenty of time for other pieces to be added.

More like 2 (on offense), 3, and some small ball 4.

Omot is a very skilled player for his size but a very poor rebounder considering his length.

From watching his highlight clip he looks more like 175 than 185. Thin as a rail. But very fluid and athletic.

I liked seeing him cutting and driving, not just floating. I’m very excited about him and hope he can be one of our key pieces the next 2 years.

He doesn't look rail thin in the Committed pick...maybe he hit the weight room and training table during his injury recovery to bulk up some. :)

Very low sample but his 10 games at Cal looked like the 3pt shot was better. Tough to say too much about it though.
