Wolves were up by 10 when Edwards went out from the collision with Durant. It was at 12 when he returned to start the 2nd half.
Pretty much had the game in control wire to wire.
Swept the season series.

There is zero chance Durant is back with PHO next year and I wouldn't be surprised if they also traded Booker for a full rebuild while Beal's contract expires.

Solid win for the Wolves but the LAC and GSW continue to win, too.

Might come down to the last game of the season for that 6th spot.

Grizz-Lakers tonight is a biggie. loser joins the squabble of times ending up in the 5-8 slot. probably matters the most to LA as they still have Memphis, Houston, GS, 2 at OKC, and at Houston on the schedule.

Despite the wolves being only good, not great down the stretch, have to feel somewhat hopeful they can get out of the playin with our schedule remaining of

Det, at Den (though game 2 of a back to back), at Brooklyn, at Philly, at Mil, at Mem, Brooklyn, Utah (so 4 playoff teams, 4 tanking games; I will avoid the meh playin teams in calling them playoff teams, especially in the east)

Compared to
LA: Memphis, Houston, GS, NO, 2 at OKC, Dallas, at Houston, Portland (6 playoff teams)
Mem: LAL, Bos, GS, Miami, Det, Charlotte, MN, Den, Dallas (6 playoff teams)
GS: SA, Mem, LAL, Den, Hou, Pho, SA, Port, LAC (5 playoff teams)
LAC: Cle, Orl, NO, Dal Dal, SA, Hou, Sac, GS (probably the easiest schedule)

Could very much see a scenario the Clippers and Wolves flip 2 teams to the playin. GS has already gotten there with losing the tie break to LAC
 

The Suns are paying Bradley Beal more this season than the Wolves are paying Jaden, Naz and DDV combined.
 


The Suns are exactly the reason why you don't blow up a young core in favor of adding veteran stars to try and win one championship while the very short window is open.

They went to the NBA Finals and then were the #1 team in the West the following season with a young core of Booker, Bridges, Ayton, and Cam Johnson.

Then they moved on from everyone except Booker in favor of bringing in Durant and Beal, and haven't been near the top of the west since.
 

Pistons and the Wolves with identical records. Both 7-3 in their last 10
Detroit just beat the Cavs
Cunningham looks to be a game time decision as is Shannon.

We need to beat them for two reasons.

The one is obvious, but the other is we own their first round pick if they aren't lottery. They aren't going to lottery, so we may be playing for a spot or two in the lottery.

I don’t mind when the stars talk trash. They back it up. When guys like Malik Beasley do it, it's just laughable. Congrats on your one good game out of 10. There's a reason you're on your 6th team in 9 years in the league.
