Grove???Grove is a very good shooting and passing big man which fits his offense perfectly if Rigsby got his extra doesn’t look like he’s leaving either. He would fit as well.

I know where he is from there is no way he is ready for big ten basketballFrom Alexandria
Wasnt sure that who you wree talking about,he is not ready for big ten physically.Grayson Grove. Redshirt frosh.
Looks like Thorson is staying so that probably ups the chances of the current recruits sticking around.Unless Thorson stays, not sure you get any of Ben's recruits.
Yes. The good big man coach might help retain the LA kid, too.Looks like Thorson is staying so that probably ups the chances of the current recruits sticking around.
After a redshirt year how do you know?Wasnt sure that who you wree talking about,he is not ready for big ten physically.
Getting ready is what the red shirt year is supposed to do.After a redshirt year how do you know?
He might have been more ready than AsumaI know where he is from there is no way he is ready for big ten basketball
Correct but to say he is not physically ready now or 6 months from now let's see. Could certainly use rotational players especially a big.Getting ready is what the red shirt year is supposed to do.
Asuma is already readyHe might have been more ready than Asuma
Have not seen him lately so I dont for sure, but my eyes do not deceive me.Have watched or played since the late 60s early 70s.After a redshirt year how do you know?
Sounds like Medved's asst coach Cooley I believe can really coach big men lets seeJefferson is the CA Big
If Evans does follow Medvid to the U, they will have the best back court with Evans and Asuma since Eric Harris and Bobby Jackson.
Definitely the best since Hawkins and Christie, thoughLOL, I'll take whatever you're drinking this morning
Ok, who was better?? This program has been in the dumps for 25 years and we have not had a decent back court since so again who was better??
Al Nolen/Blake HoffarberOk, who was better?? This program has been in the dumps for 25 years and we have not had a decent back court since so again who was better??
Nolen/WestbrookHollins and Hollins
Amen. He was actually pretty bad - people are projecting a best-case scenario for him based mostly on maroon-colored glasses rather than actual performance. It’d be better for the team to get players at his position that have *proven* they can produce. For starters, I like Asuma's potential but man does everyone completely overrate MN prospects on this board. He hasn't even proven he's a starter in the B1G yet.
True, but by definition, he's a starter until we have at least six players in the fold.Amen. I like Asuma's potential but he has not done anything yet to be considered better than any of those other guys.None of those duo's would be better than Asuma and Evans. Do you watch basketball??
This made me lolNone of those duo's would be better than Asuma and Evans. Do you watch basketball??
Or think of this a second, Medved can coach him up to a higher potential than Ben did. His results-oriented approach might provide the clarity the team needs, pushing the player to thrive or making tough decisions if improvement doesn't come. Or he becomes visibly worse under Medved, but we never see him play again because Medved won't play an underperforming player. Or he does play him underperforming and we find that Medved wasn't the improved choice. I can't wait. This is so much fun.Amen. Isn't it time to leave the Ben Johnson bashing behind? He brought in a lot of good players who left due to insufficient NIL funds. His players were well coached and played hard if you went to any gopher game. The athletic director hired a inexperienced coach to a changing college athletics landscape and Ben was not prepared to deal with NIL stuff. That's all. He wasn't a bad coach or person. The bolded is what I'm most excited about. Ben Johnson was never on a winner and didn't know the feeling since HS. Niko brings a winning culture that hopefully translates to MN.
I'll take his stats, experience, and familiarity in year one.
