All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

I know a lot of people don't like him, but I love listening to Gus Johnson call college basketball games.....he seems to genuinely get excited during great games like this Depaul/Creighton game!!
Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner probably top the list, but I also like Gus Johnson. And generally I like the CBS Sports Network coverage of conference games. They carry a lot of the MWC games, and do a great job.

Yeah I like Gus but in my opinion Fran Frischilla is tough to beat.

Robbie Hummel has come a long way. I really like him today. IMO by far the best BIG10 guy for me anyway..

Fran is top notch, not a big Gus guy. I always loved Bill Walton, lots of chuckles, RIP.
Whenever I tune in and it's Robbie, I'm always happy.

After watching those late games last night, I'm a little in love with Steve Lappas. He doesn't blather on and on. You get concise, evocative sound bites as needed. Insightful, entertaining and likable.

man, he's also good. Also, name escaping me but the former head coach from the Northeast, definitely brings the accent. I'll google til I find him.

I'm a big fan of Hummel's work also. He's very informative.

I've often wondered if at some point he would get into coaching.

UNC with an epic disaster. Shooting foul with about 4 seconds left and down one against Duke. UNC player misses the first and then on the second....a UNC player steps into the lane.....negating the tying free throw.

Robbie is fantastic. Great voice, breaks the game down wonderfully, he might be my favorite going right now.

Yep, Boise in Lunardi's first four out. Need a big second half.

Boise wins it!

Utah State with a NET of 37. Can you imagine the stars aligning and four teams from the Mountain West in line for the NCAAs?

Good reminder of why Richard Pitino is not coaching at Minnesota. Lobos fall to Boise State 72-69.

LOL! He's going to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year. I wish he had been the coach the past 4 years versus what we just had.

Mountain West is much easier than the Big10 and Pitino's teams falter in the clutch. We saw it here in crucial games.

"I like our chances" tomorrow, said the Roseville HS grad Medved. That's exactly how one of our daughter's Roseville HS gymnastics coaches would always put it heading into a big meet. He was right more often than he was wrong about that.
