Favorite Friday: Who is your favorite Gophers men’s basketball player?

Ron Behagen,
Jim Brewer,
Bob Nix,
Ray Williams,
Trent Tucker,
Kevin McHale,

There are a lot: Voshon Leonard, Bobby Jackson, John Thomas, Sam Jacobson, Quincy Lewis, Dusty Rychart, Andre Hollins, Lawrence Westbrook, Daniel Oturu, and Jordan Murphy are notables.

Michael sweet bells Thompson. As a little kid, he got me hooked on Gopher basketball.

What a front court with him, McHale, and Dave Winey 6' 10" 6' 10" and 6' 11"

Dusty Rychart, Zach Puctel

Two great names.

Puchtel's story was incredible. At Harvard, somehow found his way back to MN and on the team, was the best player in the Big Ten for a two-week stretch or so out of the blue, and then I think went back to Harvard to play football. Heck of a story though.

And of course Dusty's career is legendary here. And he had a really nice pro career Down Under, where he still lives today.

Go Gophers!!

I liked the boys from the Bahamas, Mychel Thompson and Osborn Lockhart. Flip was great as well.

Dusty Rychart - still has the highest field goal percentage in a single game at the Big Ten tournament - .917 (11/12) vs PSU 3/7/02

Of all time It's Bobby Jackson.

I'll be 95 years old and I'll still remember him calling a timeout in mid air while flying out of bounds in March Madness.
