Read his “A Civil War” about the tradition and backstories of the Army-Navy game literally on my flights to see the Army-Navy game in Philly in 2008. Great book, terrific sports author on many different sports. A wise man and great interview. Readers of, and lovers of sports on a more philosophical level will miss him. RIP
