Megan Duffy

For Marquette to get to the Sweet 16, they would have to beat #1 South Carolina. I’m thinking she’ll be available within a week.
Cool, I didn't look at their bracket. Marquette's good but don't see them knocking off South Carolina. I'm just following Big 10 teams, and looking for upsets like Florida Gulf Coast possibly wining 2 games.

My daughter is a senior at Marquette, so she gets a bit salty when I say that Megan might be our next coach 😂

While very much the most likely scenario, wouldn't Marquette upsetting South Carolina be an amazing profile boost: MN hiring (and paying dearly for) the coach that beat UConn and South Carolina in the same season.

"Like USF, Marquette played an aggressive non-conference schedule that included wins against NCAA tourney qualifiers Texas (a 4 seed), Gonzaga (a 9 seed) and Holy Cross (a 15 seed). Its biggest triumph, however, came in a 59-52 home upset of Connecticut (a 2 seed) on Feb. 8, when the Golden Eagles forced 19 turnovers.

Leading the Eagles in that game was the senior tandem of 5-foot-11 guard Jordan King (15.9 points per game, 4.0 assists) and 6-1 post standout Chloe Marotta (14.5 points per game, 9.1 rebounds), both of whom were first-team All-Big East selections. Marotta nearly had a double double (19 points, nine rebounds) against the Huskies, who avenged the defeat with an 81-52 romp in the Big East tourney.

“I know they went out and scheduled the right way,” Fernandez said.

More on Marquette

Coach by former Notre Dame standout Megan Duffy, the Golden Eagles go fairly deep, with 10 players averaging at least 10 minutes. Until that Big East tournament loss to Connecticut, they had won seven of their previous eight games, and 10 of their previous 12. Statistically selfless, they rank 22nd nationally in assist-turnover ratio (plus-1.21) and assists per game (16.6)."

Live now on ESPN after Marquette strong defense and forced turnover:

"That's one thing you know you are always going to get from Megan Duffy is tough defense."

Coach Duffy played the last minute of Regulation very well. They just lost a heartbreaker

Marquette lost in overtime. The last play was a good one. The ball went to Mackenzie Hare for the game Winner. She had a good look. The best shooters will miss that shot 60% of the time and this time it did not go in. She did her part to get open and shoot.

Marquette did a good job before the end of regulation down 2 clawing to get the ball back to tie the game. Right before that Marquette shooting was cold for a brief stretch.

More games ahead to watch.

Let’s get Megan Duffy as our next coach on St. Patrick’s Day. Erin go Bragh !! 🇮🇪🍀

Four generations of La Chapell have played for Marquette.

I wonder if Duffy has her sights set higher. Auriemma is nearly 69, hates the portal/NLI and had a rough season...

Well, I was wrong about Megan Duffy, but I’m happy with Coach P getting the job!
Let’s go!!!
