Gophers vs Badgers

That’s just a terrible penalty to call. The badger guy is significantly shorter and sucked his head with the hit was coming.

Thanks all. Found it on the Ballys Sports + app I didn’t even know I had access too!

How are shots so lopsided? Penalties?

Yes. 9 penalty minutes in first. Were just out of synch...yet lead 3-0.

Wisconsin hockey is complete booty cheeks and I'm loving every minute of it.

If gophers keep pouring it on, it's gonna tough trying to listen to these bsn-wi commentators.

Snuggerud has 17 goals and is looking to become the first Gopher freshman with 20 since Barriball in 2006-07.

Both he and Cooley will look to be the first freshman with 45 points since Schroeder in 08-09.

Just listening on the 103.5 down in San Antonio. Close to held us in it until the cavalry showed up. Sounded like the crowd was rather paltry for Wisky with a good number of Gopher fans there. Nice game.

Listened to it on the Varsity network via Gophersports.com. Love listening to Wally Shaver. Probably my second favorite to Ray Christensen.

Even with Wisconsin having a season to forget, they still have fans showing up. Packer's season is over and with the Bucks playing in LA tonight, might as well go watch some hockey.

That line is lethal!

It was a ghost town at the arena. 1/3 of the fans were gopher fans from what it looked like on tv.

Still have fans showing up? That arena was maybe 30% of capacity from what I could tell.

Disagree. It's actually funny to hear them die a little inside.
This x1000. The only thing that beats it was the series at Mariucci both last year and this year where we slaughtered them and you just see how dejected their fans are.

One concern going forward in the B1G championship - and I know Motzko harps on this all the time. A bye the first tourney weekend means another 2 week break from the final regular season game against OSU on Feb 24. Their first B1G tourney game will be against the lowest remaining seed at Mariucci on March 11 (and that game may not be that competitive, could be a snooze fest). They seem to struggle the first game back after a layoff (look at the first half of the game yesterday). Michigan would likely come here on March 18 for the championship - Wolverines will likely take much more advantage than the Badgers did last night.

I know that has been an issue with this team, but they need to find a way to get past it. That layoff is a structural reality that the champ faces every year, so it can't be an excuse when the big game comes.

I’ll be at Michigan-Michigan State cheering for MSU in case things don’t go our way tonight.
Don't say that anywhere near the basketball board. MNJay will spend the next year claiming that you are not a Gopher fan because you cheered for the Spartans.

Well it sounds like the first period was more energenic and played better, but the score? Not so much. 1-1 after one period of play.

I just don't understand how aggressively enforcing the too many men rule became a point of emphasis. That's a goal last year. Also, how do you wave off the goal, but not give Minnesota the penalty? That doesn't make any sense.

Either there were too many men on the ice and the Gophers should be shorthanded or there weren't and the score should have been tied.
