MP: Pat Borzi: How Can U Volleyball Turn a Profit?

Stop feeding the troll.

I've offered free tickets on this site numerous times. Above angry person has taken me up on zero of them.

The college volleyball court width is narrow enough that I don’t think the raised floor is an issue on the sides. Couldn’t you create custom fit 3 foot deep pads that would sit on the floor on the end lines? I suppose storage of these would be an issue. Even if they were only a foot thick, sliding off and hitting that would be a non issue.

Tear down that s***hole we call Williams Arena (and obviously the Pav comes down with it) and replace it with a modern multi-purpose arena that will accommodate basketball and volleyball fans from this century. Problem solved*

*However, we know this will never happen.

Not an issue for much more athletic and moving basketball players, but is an issue for volleyball players.

I don't think so.

Because of low-quality opponents.

Home matches vs Wisc and Neb in Williams would draw 8-10k I guess.
In volleyball you're tracking a ball in the sky. Running full speed with your head pointing straight up. How often do you do than in basketball?? Never.

In hoops, you may be running but can generally see where you're going to 'jump' odd the court or maybe slide off. Not run full tilt off of it.

A short fence could easily be set up, to disallow players to pursue the ball further than its boundary. This is done all the time in various arenas.

Quite a non-issue.
