Go Gophers!!

I think Minnesota sees other schools beating Minnesota at sponsorship money.

As an alumni I see for me a legit way for us alumni to pay without it being in a paper bag under the desk, figuratively speaking. Want to pitch in $600? Buy some minutes and hang up after 30 seconds, figuratively speaking.

The reality is that other schools are poaching players with perfectly legitimate money.

There's also nothing wrong with paying the money and then actually talking to them for 5 minutes, right? I was thinking this might be a cool thing for son's upcoming 4th birthday, buy 5 minutes for him to meet someone from one of the teams we watch on TV and give him a chance to say hi. I remember when I was really little, my Dad took me and my sister to a meet the Gophers set up where we got to skate with the mens hockey team and the hockey cheerleaders, and I still fondly remember that more than 30 years later.

Yes, that is a great idea. If I was a kid I would be over the moon to interact with a Gopher player. What a great gift.

I think you have a great idea here I hadn't fully thought of.

I am thinking this makes a great stocking stuffer too.
