is Christmas lights. Damn things barely last a year before they stop working.

I figured this was about your Trump NFT's...

I do one string around my deck. That's it. None on the roof. None on the trees. Been using the same strand for at least five years

I bought two duplicate strands 5 years ago. One still working well the other only lasted 1 year. Now on my 3rd set and half just went out.

Bah, Humbug.

the amount of time and energy that people put into holiday lights and decorations never ceases to amaze me.

hey, if that's your thing, great. more power to you.

I wouldn't spend 5 minutes doing that, but I'm a cranky old b*stard.

Depending what kind of you have, this device may help. It's great, because although you can take out every bulb and test them, doing so will ultimately weaken the lifespan of the strand. This helps you to quickly replace only what you need.

I thought you were going to say the Twins front office.

Have had the same strings for 5 years now, no problems. Wouldn’t put them up, but the kids really like them and guilt me into doing it. One of my least favorite chores.

Are you also dirty?

As for "Biggest Scams" I would vote for Resort Fees at Vegas Hotels.
Gotta help pay for T-Mobile Arena and for Allegiant Stadium, my friend.

But yes, the resort fees have gotten out of control. It wasn't THAT long ago that it was like an extra $9.99 but now they are $50+ per night. Good grief.

Better to just get a Marriott or Hyatt or Holiday Inn Express close to where you're staying. No resort fees at the hotel chains, only at the Casino properties.

Pretty sure Resort Fees go only to the property owners.

There are occupancy taxes/fees (separate from the Resort Fees) that I am sure go to pay for TMobile and Allegiant, plus a pretty significant fee at the Rental Car facility.

At least I have gone to TMobile and Allegiant multiple times. Been to Vegas exactly 12 times since fees have been a thing. Only once though not in Nov/Dec. Used the pool one time, on a 98 degree May day at NY/NY while in town for the Stanley Cup.

I got one of those but tbh, best to also get a non contact electrical circuit tester to go along with this. These tools will save a ton of frustration over time.

I would vote for George the dark star guy. The kfan talent speaks of him like he walked on water.

This thread went way too off topic. Please concentrate more on the topic of Christmas lights being a rip off.

Seems like the icicles type lighting are the worst. I do like lights on my home. Get me in the spirit of Christmas, especially the ones in the home. Everyone's meaning of Christmas and Easter is different.
