Anything positive you can think of?

FWIW, I thought the effort was the best it's been all season tonight. The bar was low, and effort should be a given, but I hope this effort is a mainstay.

Go Gophers!!

A seasoned Payne could be a bright spot for years.

Nearly even on rebounds after getting outrebounded by 20+ against Purdue and 15 against VT. Was better against Michigan as well.

Carrington with 10 boards, Garcia’s effort cannot be questioned. He plays hard.

Positive.....We don't play St. Thomas.

One, our coach isn't strangling people. As far as last night goes, I thought our team defense was pretty good, thought they gave good effort on that side. Mississippi State has one of the best defenses in the nation, so when Battle picks up his fourth foul the first minute of the second half, it's going to be tough sledding. It was smart to teach Henley a lesson tonight, they would have eaten him up alive, but I think at some point he will urn a corner. Thomson two minutes might have been the worst two minute stretch anyone has had this year. Nice to see Garcia put a good game together. Will win games on nights where Battle, Cooper and Garcia are all on, it hasn't happened yet, but that's the recipe for this team. Thought Carrington did a great job on the boards and his team defense was much better compared to Michigan. 1-8 is bad from three, but his shots were all in the flow of the offense, so I'm not mad at them, his stroke is too good, so eventually they're going to fall for him, but they aren't right now.

Once again, Ola-Joseph was good. 9 points in 19 minutes.

Payne...I'm looking for closer to 10 points...6 isn't quite enough. But he had 7 boards in 25 minutes.

Carrington did very well with 10 boards. But poor shooting.

Henley only played 2 minutes.

At this point, I'm hoping for 2 of these 4 to have decent numbers each game. This game didn't quite get there. Close.

Garcia with his best game of his Gopher Career. so lets hope that continues.
We made our free throws!

Payne and Ola-Joseph proved to belong on a big ten court again.

We're one game closer to turning the corner or turning the page.

I may have to re-watch the game (Naw not really) to confirm but I thought there were 1 or maybe two possessions where all 5 of the guys were
moving for at the same time!!!! o_O

Plus we had one D possession where MS had shot clock violation.

We handled their passive press well.
