Ibrahim, JMS named All-Big Ten, Filiaga and Ruschmeyer 3rd team

Big shoes to fill up the middle this offseason.

Wait, somebody on here told us the other day that Filiaga (along with Carroll) was basically a dud transfer and waste of a scholarship because he's not a future NFLer 😂

Mo is the second Fleck-era player (along with Tyler Johnson) to be 2-time First Team All-Big Ten. But for injury, likely 3-time, which is really rare air.

What an amazing group of offensive players and well-earned awards! I'm curious if someone has some free time (more than I have!) can go back over the past decade or so and see how this year's group (including defense and special teams) stacks up with previous years of Gopher all-conference and all-American players. My suspicion is that this year is as good as we've been in a long time.

If CJ Stroud probably won player of the year because all Ohio State QBs do by default before bombing in the pros, then the guy who got Lineman of the Year (Peter Skoronski - Northwestern) on a 1-11 team that was 13th in the Big Ten in rushing (3.2 YPC) must be the next NFL Hall of Famer.

Otherwise can't see how it wasn't JMS

His grandfather didn't make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he was the longtime captain and starter at LT for Vince Lombardi's great Packers' teams of the 1960s.

If I had a draft pick and needed a TE I would be very interested in Spann-Ford or any of the other names he's been called this season on TV. Can both block and move well and has elite size for the position. I think he's the team's best NFL prospect who's draft eligible. Maybe JMS too.

Does he have one more Gopher year from Covid?

Do you really think that Filiaga will get drafted.? I don’t. (maybe the ViQueens will find a need for another water boy).

Um, no I don't think he'll get drafted. But I also don't think he was the portal flop you professed him to be. He started every game and was named all-conference. He was a HUGE addition to the team...and the fact he won't play in the NFL doesn't change that. Now, would I rather add even better NFL caliber guys from the portal? Of course! But Fleck has done a great job strategically plugging holes with transfers to this point.

Who cares if he gets drafted????? You wouldn't take ANY transfer into the program that ends up 3rd team All B10???? That's ridiculous.....

As for me, all I've got to say is thanks for coming to the U Big Chuck!!!!!
