***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS UNLV SO CAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

There is going to be a lot of these kinds of games in the B1G this season. Holding out hope for game by game improvement.
Right now we are just so slow on both ends of the court. I have to think it won't be this slow all season. 51 points against a mediocre UNLV squad is not good.

Henley looks like a lost puppy out there. He has 0 business playing PG at the D1 level right now. I would hazard a guess Christie sees himself as that too. Skeptical would be my key term as well
He's a freshman combo guard. That describes him.

And ole fucking Larry eustachy out there ready to chat at some weird game in a tourney I have never heard of. How many natty lights did Larry have before the game?
Larry's clearly moved on to harder stuff than Natty Light. He's aged 50 years in the last 20.

Cooper is run over on that loose ball....nothing.

I expect much better effort and better defense against VT on Monday or it's on the coaches.

So, UNLV can slap and body up on defense all game long and get fewer fouls called than we do with an occasional bump?

The reffing has let UNLV get away with a lot that they haven't for the Gophers. Hell....Cooper got elbowed in the face and they called a foul on him.

He is not hopeless and he is our toughest, most physical player. He needs to play and get better.
He also needs to be an example to his teammates...coach: why JOJ play and I don't? Pretty simple, he plays harder than you do.
He isnt a B1G level player.

We go nowhere giving that level of player any run.

Hopefully hes gone next year and his scholarship goes to a fucking transfer guard that belongs on a B1G team. We need thst more than JOJ.

Ugly game indeed, but some of you saying the FR can't play need to CTFD (as Nick Saban would say).
Henley is having a rough game no doubt about it, but he has some quickness and in time is going to be a dang good player. Give him some time to (and the whole team) to settle into their roles.
Carrington is also going to be a very good player. Together those two are going to make a good 1 2 punch in time.

What MN born PG can we induce to come home next year?

Check out these Ja Morant dunks! This one was called off after he elbowed Cooper in the face. And this one went off the back of the rim. But is this guy Ja Morant or what!?

It’s shocking to even see the strength and conditioning difference in these two teams. This is the softest Gopher team I can remember.
Ever, absolutely no heart. No compete. And getting praised for a false flurry. Are we that inexperienced, that mentally soft that when it is hopeless, now we have the courage to compete?

They gotta be better than good, Good isn't good enough !!!

Glad to see Henley get his last 3 drop. He has a nice stroke, but needs to see some success.

Only 6 turnovers in the 2nd half, and the last two were passes that were not tipped, just crappy passes we couldn’t come up with.
