Sounds like a bunch of other solid schools were headed to watch him play this weekend or next at a big tourney, so it's good we got him locked in when we did.

Ben definitely likes the athletic 6-7/6-8 guys. Can't have enough long wings!
 




Transferring to Huntington WV prep for his senior season per the Pioneer Press.

Betts said in June he will transfer to Huntington (W.V.) Prep for his senior season. Famous Huntington alums include Miles Bridges and former Timberwolves Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng.
 

I understand he really likes playing against USC and UCLA......

seriously - looks like a solid prospect. as noted, Ben does seem to have a certain body type he likes, and likes players with position flexibility.
 
















Not sure what there is to get so excited about a 2 star player.

read some on GH say prephoops does the best at evaluating players. Payne was ranked #84, Betts #87 - so should be getting another high quality player
 

If the program is going to advance, it has to be with guys like this. Solid but under the radar and be developed into excellent B1G players.

It’s obvious there isn’t much observation of him by the services yet. I’m not worrying about that.

I like the commit, but still feel like more buzz among the casual fans would have been generated by a higher profile local recruit.
