All Things 2021-2022 Minnesota Wild In-Season Thread

Hell yeah Joel! For a guy who mostly makes a living with physical play in front of the net his second goal was really slick.

Does everyone get their lids back?

Hell of a show. If we can get past this team, I feel like we can skate (ha) our way to the Finals.

Can’t believe Evason started Fleury again - and after the fact, I’m still not convinced of the wisdom of that - but he got the W and it’s clear he’s riding that horse.

Well that was much better. Now gotta find a way to at least split in St. Louis.

Well, the Wild scoring twice in the first two minutes of the game was pretty devastating for St Louis. Then the Wild stayed disciplined when the Blues shortly thereafter tried to intimidate with extreme physical- legal- play. Game 1 Wild would have retaliated, gotten penalized and likely been scored on once or twice.

Erikson-Ek is playing absolutely fantastic in all phases of the game. Karill got a nice bounce for one. The 4th goal was a pretty play, with a gorgeous 2 foot pass by Kaprizov and a great shot by Zuc. Then after the Blues scored, the Wild weathered a furious couple more minutes with some continued nice play by Fleury. He really played well and was a little more stationary in general.

I continue to be impressed with Jost and hope he can get on the board. Wonder if inserting Bjugstad might make the 4th line more of a scoring threat.

I don’t think the play was 5-1 uneven, so I hope we can somehow sneak another one Sunday. This series is not over.

92nd career playoff win for Fleury. Now tied with Grant Fuhr of the Oilers for 3rd all time.

I still love this video. Happy Anniversary Koharski.

That was back when ESPN was worth watching. That's what drew me in the first place. Thanks for the video.

Shit. Yesterday, they said the team that scored the 1st goal, scored the 1st 4 goals. C'mon Wild.

Man I love what Fiala has become this year but you can not take that penalty

Broke that trend. Good job boys. Kirill just adds such a dimension. Absolute superstar.

Need to get one back you're in the second. Would be awfully tough to come back in one period on the road down two.

Well that sucked. Can't be losing to a team that is missing so many defenseman.

A split on the road is a good thing. Attitude and aggression is what make a winner. I think the Wild have a lot more talent, but the St louis Blues need to get burned on their aggression. The Wild have the talent.

can't keep having slow starts. I believe the team that scored first has won every game so far.

on Tuesday at home, the Wild has to come out flying and pepper the Blues goalie from the opening faceoff.

Job done. Though it would have been nice to steal Game 4. After being dominated the first 2 periods they cranked it up, just couldn't tie it up.

Yep. Still a successful road trip IMO. They had a chance in the 3rd, just couldn't get another one into the net.

These are two evenly matched teams. Wild still with the home-ice advantage.

I really don't know what they should do in goal. At this point, you might want to stick with Fleury. Talbot might get in his own head and that could be a problem. I'll stand by my thought that Talbot should have started game 1 and for sure game 2. Now I don't know what to think.

At this point I think you have to ride with Fleury the rest of the series IMO. I don't think you can start Talbot in the very critical Game 5 after sitting this whole time.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I lean at this point too. Not crazy about that.
