So far I am totally wrong...

This team is off to a nice start, but the Princeton game was concerning even though they got the win.

Team is paper thin from a depth perspective.
Will be interesting to see how Johnson deals with minutes now that the tournament is over. I chalk a lot of what we saw in the first few games up to wanting to try and win the tournament so only going with the guys he truly trusts right now.

He knows he is going to have to play more guys in order to make it through the season, so they will want to start getting minutes for those players soon in order to have them ready to take on bigger roles when called upon later in the season.

They went 10 deep in the exhibition game, would expect to see them go with a rotation more like that moving forward. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

It appears that he is just going to keep doing it like this unless someone gets injured or we are getting blown out or until someone starts improving fast enough in practice to start seeing a regular 10-15 minutes. I hope Thompson and Thiam are able to step up as the year moves on. Also, Ogele in his minutes has not looked lost on the court, so perhaps he will help at some point.

Battle cant play 40 every night, effectively, especially moving forward.

The big 10 foul calling machine starts Wed. Once Curry and Daniels are in trouble in the first half, things get really bad.

We need some home cooking Wednesday.

How is Ben's Chili?

I don't know what to say anymore... I was COMPLETELY wrong about this team AND coach
So am I. I'm not ready to genuflect to anyone, but it is clear the players are well-coached, mature, and poised, things that have not been obvious around here for the last few years.

Broken record warning: I do think lack of depth will bite them and they are an injury away from being competitive in most games.

I'll also go on record as believing they will not lose many games in which they have four turnovers and shoot over 50%, including nearly 40% from three. Yesterday was a nearly perfect game from planning to execution to adjustments. All on the road against a likely tournament team. That is amazing.

I was also completely wrong about this team. It makes me wonder how really bad Pitino was, for all of those years.

It may have been about the players he was able to convince to come here. Lots of talented players lack discipline or will to play within a system. The next step for Ben and crew will be identifying and coaching more talented players to do what the current bunch is doing.

Not sure players really loved playing for him. Which was evident in the numbers of season where the wheels came completely off down the stretch at any sign of adversity.

Or he isn't that good of a coach.
