Gophers BEAT wisconsin Post Game Thread

Way to go gophers.

Does anyone know if the gophers have a call in show like the vikings do after games. I'd love to listen.

Great game but should not have rushed the field. This wasn't a top 10 team.

Badly needed win for the program. I was most surprised by the defense ability to limit the running game and do so well in 3rd and short situations (while being annoyed by some of the 3rd and long conversions). Just a fantastic defensive performance to not allow the Badgers in to the end zone all day. Walley had an up and down day, but the pick to start the third quarter was the play of the day. I thought Braelen Oliver had his best game of the season, maybe of his career.

Happy for a lot of the guys that contributed in 2019 and are still around to be able to finish their careers with a good taste in their mouth with regards to a border game.

A lot depends on next week. Mich, tOSU, Iowa, and Mich St have better records.
Minn, Wisc, and Purdue all tied at 8-4, 6-3
Before this, lots of places were forecasting Wiscy to the Outback. Can't see them going back there.

Nah. The game was awesome. The best part was watching the students storm the field. It was epic when they played Jump Around with a full field of fans. Tonight was why I keep coming to these games. Simply Awesome!

What a game by our defense
Indeed. A few weeks ago I thought that if we held Wisconsin significantly below 200 yards rushing we'd have a chance. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd hold them to 62 yards rushing. The defense forced Wisconsin to throw far more than their comfort level and it showed. Got to give some credit to the offense as well. We didn't throw that many passes but we got 12.4 yards per attempt.

I can love Tanner for all his effort put in over the last few years but still admit his flaws. His cement feet stopped a lot of momentum tonight.
Dude, no QB is perfect. Tanner was dropping DIMES out there today -- especially in the second half. Those deep shots to CAB were perfect...two could've been caught and probably should've been PI. The deep shots to Wright, same deal (helluva catch by Wright on the first one, btw). Perfectly leading BSF on multiple play-action plays, perfectly leading CAB for that TD on the crosser (and hanging in the pocket on that), sticking a couple slants in there to MBS and Jackson. He was dealing. Tanner isn't perfect and deserves criticism for his mistakes in earlier games, but not tonight.

Iowa and/or MSU will get the Citrus and Outback being 2 games better in the win column than the Gophs. That probably places the Gophs in the Las Vegas Bowl...and I gotta think Vegas would want Minnesotans too - we love that place! I gotta say, that could be fucking fun!

First off, GO GOPHERS!
Not sure if anyone caught this at the game, but Tanner didn’t walk out for Senior day. Does that mean he will use his Covid year and come back? If so, yes please!

Great win. I was at the Penn State game a couple years ago and stormed the field. My wife and I still think it was one of the best times of our life. This is a close 2nd.
