I am involved with student media at Iowa (radio and tv) and need some thoughts, websites and/or any other info regarding the Gopher offense for this season. I know many of you gopher stalwarts have more detailed analysis to offer and can open up my eyes to things I cannot find from statistics. I'll be hosting a radio show in Iowa City in the fall and plan to scrutinize all Iowa's big 10 opponents for this season. Any ideas, thoughts, analysis etc. would be much appreciated.

Talk to the trolls on this board, after all, they know everything.

I am just looking for some insight on the offense for my radio program in the fall, not trying to flame, troll or start another circular debate on Iowa and Minnesota.

Do any of these posts sound familiar?

"The point is that Minnesota has not scored on Iowa in two seasons. Minnesota's offense will most likely be just as poor this year as it was last season and the second half of 2008. There is nothing on paper that indicates there will be much of a difference. When Decker was injured, the Minnesota offense was absolutely abysmal. If you can explain to me how the offense will be better, then I will gladly listen. The response was a reaction to the stupid Iowa bathroom jokes, which seems to be the best all you Minnesota fans have when it comes to the last few years of football between Minnesota and Iowa."

"It must be rough considering Wisconsin is 15-5 against Minnesota the last 20 years. They do not deserve respect...."

"67-0"

"If you guys score a point on us this year, at least you can come away with a moral victory."

"Can Brewster lead this charge? Known results indicate the answer is no"

It appears that you already have a strong opinion of the Gophers offense.

Here's a tidbit......

Not widely known yet, but....
the Floyd of Rosedale game will not be played at TCF Bank Stadium. Instead, the Metrodome will be utilized once again. Maturi, surprisingly was able to easily convince the Iowa A.D. to relinquish to this request as MN will provide a larger payout, plus more Hawkeye fans can attend. Brewster was harder to convince, but hey, he works for Maturi and ultimately said yes.
See you in the Metrodome! Leave Lois home.

Are you a journalism student at Iowa? Your best way to find information about a team is to ask anonymously on a message board? That's lazy.

That said, there will be a job waiting for you at the Star Tribune upon graduation.

I immerse myself in plenty of information sources but sometimes fans can provide valuable insight based on my experience. I am not majoring in journalism at Iowa. Thanks for the lesson on finding sources, I'll make sure to remember this as I move forward in life. ;)
