I was a bit surprised when I saw this line. Wisconsin’s crowning achievement to date is… beating Army at home? Only losing to Penn State by 6 at home?

Wisconsin might just score 3.5 points. They won't score more.

Wisconsin wins. 2-0

But yeah that spread....Vegas know something?

Gopher defense held Purdue to 13 points.
wisconsin has scored 10, 13, 17 and 24 against P5 opponents. 10 of those points in the 4th quarter…7 of which were by backups while getting routed. What I’m saying is—thats a lot of points for Wisco to makeup.

Also, Purdue scored 24 on Iowa. I don’t think the gopher D is better than the Hawkeyes D personally.

I repeat: Gopher defense held Purdue to 13 points. I don't know if that makes them better than Iowa's defense, but nevertheless it is a fact that they did a better job against Purdue's offense than Iowa did.

-3.5 on the road vs a top25 team? with a QB who's thrown over 3x as many INTs than TDs?
Boilers are the better team.
Home dogs gonna eat.
Smash the moneyline +145

Agreed. I took Purdue to win straight up.

Iowa was missing their best two cornerbacks for most of the game -- which isn't great going against David Bell and Milton Wright. It was encouraging to see Walley bounce back when he got beat against them

I have been as guilty as many GH’ers predicting the demise of the Badgers many times. Until proven otherwise, I’m assuming the Badgers will win. Under Brohm, Purdue has shit the bed every time they gain some momentum. Not sure predicting this is the ONE time it’ll happen is prudent. But boy, would I love to be wrong.

Vegas sets their lines in order to get equal bets on both sides. They win when bets come in equal and they take the vig. There are people who look at Purdue and scoff....and look at Wisconsin teams and go....they're better. People will bet on name without knowing any better.

I didn’t say they didn’t. I made a completely different set of points.

Parlayed Purdue and Oklahoma State. I'm more nervous about OSU at Iowa State than Purdue. Both should be entertaining games.

You're right; you were responding to a different set of points. I get that.

But I was responding to this:

" I don’t think the gopher D is better than the Hawkeyes D personally."

I think it's too early to tell if Iowa's or Minnesota's defense is better.

I don't bet.
But if I did, I'd take Purdue on this one.

If Purdue can pass on Iowa like they did, I don't think there will be enough rain to make it difficult for Bell to have another big game.

Purdue's defense is also solid. It might not be as good as Wisconsin's but it's good.

Also, one could argue that Purdue losing could be better for our Big Ten West chances, therefore, I think Purdue wins.

Purdue wins and it's not close. They win 31-10.

31-10 at halftime. I jokingly picked 62-10. I hope either one is right.

Wisconsin has won 14 straight in the series. It will be a barn burner.
